Devin... What's going on?

" Well fix it then!! "
" Sir we... We can't. "
" Well why not?! "
" We have a guest!! She's not allowed to know- "
" Keep it down would ya?! This is her room!! "

I felt my spine shiver, but did nothing about it and hopped out of bed heading to my closet....

I'm not allowed to know what..?

We made it to a nice park with cute hills surrounding it and decided to have our picnic on a decently tall hill that stood to the left.

The view of the town was perfect from up there. It was stunning.

" Are you happy with me..? "
I mumbled to Devin has I leaned my head onto his shoulder.

" ..... Of course I am Abbey. Why wouldn't I be?! "
He said with a soft voice. I looked up at him with a smile but his face expression said something else. He wasn't even looking at me, just out at another hill.

" What are you look- "
" Ah, nothing!! Lets eat! "

He seemed paranoid and out of it. He budged his shoulder a bit causing my head to move off of it.

" Devin... Is something- "

" I'm fine!! "
He raised his voice and not in a pleasant tone. I never thought he would be like this... But then again, everyone has their days, so I let it slide.

We ate in silence but every now and then I'd catch him looking over at some other hill, but I could never tell which one. It was like something just grabbed his attention from me.

He's not being the Devin I knew. The one that danced with me even with a bloody nose from... Emma. She's probably behind this. Sending him death threats or something.

I felt mad at Emma. She's purposefully wrecking what we have. Shes probably jealous of what we have.

" Abbey..? "
I hear a familiar male voice say from behind me. I sprung up from my thoughts nearly dropping the sandwich I had in my hands.

" Can I help y- "
I said standing up and spinning around on my heels only to come face to face with a tall dirty blonde young man looking down at me with the faintest of grins.

" Liam..!? "
I said surprised and shocked to meet eye to eye with him once again.

" Its been awhile. "
He said bending over to kiss the back of my hand then looked back up at me with a smile.

I felt my cheeks and neck heat up at the sight of those lime green eyes looking back at me.

" Alright alright!! "
Devin said angrily as he moved me behind him.

Him and liam were now face to face glaring at each other.

" What are you doing here... Liam. And how to you know MY abbey?! "
He seemed aggressive and aggravated by Liam's presence here.

" I was just on a stroll with my lovely girlfriend here. "
Liam said pointing to a beautiful young lady in a patch of stunning flowers.

She was wearing a blue and shite flower dress that flowed perfectly in the wind like a pinterest dream picture. Her long hair blew naturally with her dress like it was made to do that!!

She soon noticed liam pointing at her and started making her way over to our hill. She had a wide smile on her face till she got close enough for our eyes to meet.

It's that girl from the dance!!?

Her smile slowly faded and our eyes didn't break contact for about 5 seconds before her attention was turned to Devin.

He seemed awe struck by this girl. And not in a flirty way more in a "WHY ARE YOU HERE?!" way.

" Abbey, Devin, this is my girlfriend... Ava. "

She smiled an obvious fake smile but we still went along with it.

" Oh yeah? Well Liam, Ava. This is my girlfriend... Abbey. "

" Ah yes. I believe we've met before... Haven't we Abbey? "
Liam said causing Ava and Devin to glare down to me.

" Um, I believe you have the wrong woman... Liam was it? "
I said stumbling a bit on my tongue.

Liam gave me a confused look, but brushed it off with a smirk.

" Must've been another woman. Cheerios young lad. "
Liam finalized as Ava pulled him off to another hill.

" ... You know him... Don't you. "
Devin said a tiny bit to aggressively under his breath.

" Devin- "

"ARE YOU CHEATING ON ME?! "
He screams in my face causing me to fall backwards.

" no no, devin I- "
I tried reasoning with him but he continued to yell at me as I curled up into a ball and started crying.

I un-curled from the ball and spoke up against him but it didn't end well...

" DEVIN I DIDN'T DO ANYTHING- "

" YOUR LYING TO ME!! "

" DEVIN LISTEN TO- "

" DON'T TALK BACK TO ME!! "
He shouted.

*Smack*

" AHH!! "
I yelped as devin just looked down at me as I held my already dark red cheek from devin slapping me across the face.

" Dev- devin... "

" SHUT IT!! "
He said raising his hand like he was gonna hit me again. I flinched and reacted by curling into a ball again.

There was silence between us til I heard him step back and kneel down to my ground level.

" Abbey, look at me. Now. "
I moved around so I'd face him and all he had was an evil glare on his face.

" You better be a good girl... We don't wanna get into another fight. Or do we? "

" No. I'll behave. "

" Good. Now, pack up our stuff and lets get outta here. "

" Yes devin. "

I said feeling like a servant. I stood up and began cleaning. We headed out and the car ride home was very quiet and tense.

Whats gotten into devin? Maybe he's just feeling sick and just wanted to leave... But my cheek still hurts...

So Devin's a big jerk and we're getting into the real spicy and sad parts of their relationship and why it was toxic.

So once this back story ends I'll be closing the story and finishing the book 1.

Ha, notice how I said book 1... Yeah baby IM MAKING A SEQUEL!! 👌

So I have a few ideas in mind and I'd love it if you guys can vote in the comments for which one you'd like to see more in the sequel.💞😍

#2: Shylow and Liam get married and have kids. ( the main character would be the kids )
#3: They go back to shylow's home town
