Chapter 48

Both teams part ways, deciding to take opposite routes to explore the culinary delights around London. Team Seokjin1000 is walking on the pavement in 3 subgroups; Mia walks ahead of you with Hobi, who is excitedly recounting his trip to Cambridge. Jimin, next to you, is going over the things he's discovered whilst being in London, and Yoongi who is on his phone by himself, is not far behind you.

"Noona, I was telling my friends about how Londoners use different rhyming words instead of actually saying the word," says Jimin. "Like yesterday, I heard a guy saying, 'you're having a bubble bath, and his friend said, no I'm serious'," Jimin's waves his hands in the air exclaiming, "I didn't even get it! English is so hard." Jimin sighs, in mock defeat.

You laugh at this display of drama when Yoongi says, "you're having a bubble bath means you're having a laugh." You and Jimin stop walking, look at each other, and then turn to look at Yoongi. "Googled it," he explains with a deadpan expression. Jimin slaps his head and says, "Oh, that makes so much sense! Yoongi hyung you're so cool."

You concur, smiling at Yoongi, and he shrugs his shoulders to indicate the insignificance of what he just did. You see Mia and Hobi slowing down ahead.

"Hey, what's 'Bangers and Mash'?" asks Hobi, pointing to a shop.

"Right that's our first stop, they do great all-day breakfasts," you say as you lead them in. You order the most expensive single thing on there, namely a 'full English brekkie'.

"No way one person can eat that!" says Hobi in disbelief.

"Who said one person has to eat it? Someone just needs to take a selfie and we can all enjoy the food," says Mia. "Who's going to volunteer first?"

"I think Yoongi should," you suggest. "As the eldest BTS member here, he should have the honour of the first selfie." You kneel on one knee and present the plate of food to him with a bowed head. Shameless flattery.

Yoongi smirks and then smiles for the first time that day. He takes the plate from you and expertly holds onto it saying "Fine." Considering this in itself a victory, you applaud him as he takes a selfie which is promptly shared with the opposing team...

You all settle to eat the food and enjoy friendly conversation. After getting a knowing look from Mia, you manoeuvre her and Jimin so that they sit next to each other. He is quite happy to have someone new to talk to, and you then allow Hobi to sit next to Jimin while you and Yoongi sit opposite the others. "Ok, we gotta be quick if we want to hit at least four more places. I have them all mapped out. We can hit Tai Pan, Sergio's, Bar Remo, Thierry Peru, and Sofra in two hours easily. Maybe even Bombay Express if we're lucky. I called them all in advance and they agreed to keep their dishes ready for us a few minutes before we arrive so we don't waste time." You look around at your silent audience and worry about the lack of response. "Hmmm, I'm actually impressed," says Yoongi. "That's smart thinking."

You grin and say, "I take these things very seriously and play to win." You're pleased that you seem to be winning Yoongi over.

"Ok, let's do this," he says smilingly, his attitude suddenly different.

"Oooh, Yoongi hyung is in it now, we're definitely going to win no matter what," says Hobi, excitedly.

"Won't the other team be at a disadvantage though?" asks Jimin, concerned. The other guys roll their eyes.

"Not at all, Jungkook and I both planned this together so he should have done the same thing. If he didn't then, oh well, too bad," you say with an evil grin.

"So you both planned this together? When?" asks Jimin with a raised eyebrow. "Is it him who's been texting you? Your phone's been buzzing constantly ever since we left the station."

You blush slightly. You've seen several message notifications from Jungkook, but can't reply since Jimin's eagle eye is always on you. "No that was Layla on our girlie chat saying how much fun she's having," rescues Mia. "Taehyung is having quite the effect on her," she adds. You are relieved when Jimin seems to buy the fib. Without saying anything more about it, you lead everyone out of 'Bangers & Mash' to continue the mission with renewed vigour. While you try to enthusiastically engage everyone into enjoying the activity, you remember some of Jungkook's messages.

You discreetly check your phone and furrow your brows. It's unusual to see Jungkook's insecurities which only seem to appear when Jimin comes into the picture. You wonder why he's so worried about Jimin supposedly being able to steal you from him. Jimin is charming, you had to admit, but you love Jungkook and that comes from deep within you. All of Jimin's charm can't suddenly make that disappear.
And then there is Yoongi. Ok that one's on you, Anna. You really wound up JK with unnecessary over-enthusiasm for Yoongi. Having said that, Yoongi is kinda cool and I wish somehow he'd been my older brother.
You sigh, feeling bad for Jungkook and text him when you're sure no one is watching you.

Now stop stressing, enjoy the time with your hyungs, keep Taehyung safe from Layla and for the love of life, take the lead and Namjoon's phone away from him. Come on dude, you know I've got a master plan to beat you, so you'd better step up! ///

You smile, knowing that this message should wake Jungkook up and his competitive spirit. 5, 4, 3, 2, 1.....
