the highdchool debut

The day of our match came today.  I was so much excited that I constantly released my aura the whole way to our bench . I promised myself to rule the game and make a name for myself that will reach to my friends from middle school .

Before the start I was glaring at shunshin the whole time silently with aura releasing from my body . Then the match started and it was our turn to bat first .

Shunshin pitched out course high and low and struck out our lead batters with 3 strike outs . Nobody was allowed to even touch the ball with their bats .

Our fielding turn came and I went to miyuki senpai

Ken - senpai , I will go all out from the start today . Let's use only fastballs today to strike them all out to pay them back .

Miyuki - hehehe.... alright.  Just surprise the crowd with a flashy debut ... hehehe... it will be interesting  

Miyuki POV

This Ken  . Such excitement and here I thought that he was a calm type of pitcher when I first catched his balls first day .. to be honest it's a relief that he is on our team as I don't want to face him as an opponent. During practice he is holding back for our teammates but I'm the main catcher and know his skills the best . Hahaha... its gonna be interesting match.  Let's see if they can even hit the ball forward from him much less any runs . Hahaha... only fastballs huh .. interesting

We then tagged our gloves and went to play .

I took a deep breath on the mound and calmed myself down first and watched the sign from miyuki senpai from set position. I nodded slightly and pitched my first ball of high school tournament. The ball  went straight in the middle of Mitt and boom , I heard nice ball from senpai .

The Crowd went silent including our players in the stand and erupted in cheers ..

Crowd - hahaha.. that ball gave me goosebumps.  What a monster rookie . Oye look the speed meter shows 150   . Hahaha .. after furuya and now this first year what was his name again , what monsters joined seido high school this year . Haha.. I'm looking forward to their match ups against strong like inashiro industrial etc   .

Crowd - his name is Ken,  look it's written on the player memo . Hahaha.. I'm sure this name would be equally famous as furuya from their team.  I'm looking forward to more surprises from their first years now. 

Crowd - I know,  I know oye look again a fastball straight down in the middle of strike  zone .

Crowd - you're right,  the battery is using only fastballs right down the middle of strike zone the whole time .

I pitched only straight fastballs with my full power right down the middle of strike zone and struck out all 3 batters with 9 pitches .

Miyuki- oye , it's easier for me now . I dont have to think any nonsense and just station my Mitt in the same place the whole time . Hahaha... what a monstrous debut you had .. ( arm on my shoulder)

Ken - thank you senpai ( respect) . Dont worry I plan to be more monstrous in future and repay the team .

Miyuki- you you .. are you going to make me cry you arrogant kouhai . Sigh forget from now on let's  practice your power curve and sinker that you showed me .. the result will be way better than practice in bullpen. 

After thinking I agreed with senpai and we reached our bench.  I recieved praise from coach and cheers from my teammates and the game continued. 

After the second inning,  still everybody struck out and yuki senpai was walked intentionally.  I decided to wipe that arrogance in my at bat that thought that everybody else from yuki senpai can be struck out easily .

From the next inning we only used my curve and sinker and they got way better in the end . In the 3 rd inning when it was my turn to bat .

I watched the trajectory of first fastball with full focus that was in outcourse of strike zone.  I didn't even swing my bat . After that I confirmed sign with coach and he allowed me to hit . The next ball was also a fastball  incourse.  I took a heavy step forward and swing my bat with inhumane speed and scored a solo home run . I then did a guts pose and circled all the bases slowly and went to the bench .

After that game continued and nobody could hit my balls forward including shunshin as I took extra care of him . We won the game 5 to 0 and i pitched the whole game .

After my homerun kominato was used by coach as a pinch hitter for the next at bat from my suggestion.  He hit the ball over top of shortstop and scored a 2 base hit . Yuki senpai was intentionally walked every time but for reason I was never walked . I guessed the reason to be fighting spirit when I read the expression of shunshin .

My achievements for the game were

A no hit no runner and 3 solo home runs at 3 at bats .

After celebrating on the ground , we went back to the school training facilities . The whole way everyone was praising me which I revieved with a slightly blushed stoic face .

When we had our end game meeting .

Coach - huh..  you guys are happy . Bakayaro . Only Ken and kominato did well in their first game . You guys couldn't even support your pitcher with runs and here are all acting happy . When frustrated , release it all by swinging your bat . I thought I had told you that.  Now go and swing your bats till late night .

Everybody else was ashamed and went out of the room quietly leaving me  , kominato , furuya who was sleeping and coach

Coach- kominato you did well and made the chance I gave you your own.  Looks like your practice with Ken has positive results . Good practice more but don't get ahead of yourself,  your brother ryo is still miles ahead of you in skill . Today just they could not swing their bat without hesitation due to the confusion intentionally caused by the opponent pitcher . For that we can only praise him . If he had more velocity in his balls and a strong team, the result would have been disastrous for us . That much potential was hidden in shunshin . There are many strong players in unmarked teams hidden  . Never forget that . Is that clear

After that I swing my bat till late night while trying to find any errors in today's plays that could be solved on my own to improve more.
