The morning of the day of our game with yakushi came . I was no worried at all . Tanba senpai was now in full shape, I knew because I helped him . Tanba senpai was a national class pitcher and even I will have some trouble hitting his curveball . On top of it our catcher miyuki senpai has worst personality and will lead tanba Senpai throughout the game . Their ace pitcher sanada was now not strong pitcher only at level of furuya but some more dangerous . I already had the trajectory of his pitches inside my mind with the help of my enhanced brain skill and practiced yesterday to hit his balls .
We went towards the system and all of the players excluding me were focused on the game . I was too focused but less worried than them as I believed in results of my practice fully . Some guys of our team and almost all 3rd years were national class players but worried needlessly . This cause hesitation in their plays and the inability to play like in practice follows. I discussed this issue with coach Last night .
In the coach office .
Ken - sir , I can vouch for tanba senpai as I helped him back in full shape . I can totally vouch for him because he told me about his relationship with manaka from ichidai and I can see resolution in his eyes . But I worry for all others. From what I watched in practice , yuki captain , masuko senpai and kominato senpai are national class players but except captain I can feel hesitation in their plays during official games .
Coach - sigh , that thing I know more than anyone else Ken . The main problem for them is confidence and achievements . It's my fault as I have not been able to guide them to koshien to fight it out with strong teams from all over Japan. You see , they have only fought with national class teams like teito, inashiro etc but lost to them due to confidence that comes from their achievements. Humans all have different personalities. Yuki is always with everything and you practice more than even 3rd years but the others have to depend on achievements to feed their confidence . It cannot be helped .
Ken - the sir ( aura ) , I will make sure that they reach koshien and experience intense fight out there and win all the games .
Coach - ( smile) I'm glad you and yuki are on our team to keep others in shape . Now go and sleep to be ready to hit some home runs tomorrow. It showed on your face during the meeting .
I was honoured and more motivated by coach words .
Our match started and first it was our turn to bat .
In the first inning all 3 lead batters were struck out by sanada who started pitching from the start against our team . I could tension in the air from their bench before the start of game , only mishima and raichi were laughing like idiots .
I guessed that our batters would take a while to adjust to sanada s aggressive pitching style of fighting it out in the strike zone .
Like I expected tanba senpai was in top shape and finished their 3 batters quickly . Raichi was batting 1st this Time and mishima was second . Unlike the anime , tanba senpai was in top shape from the start. If any runs were scored by them, I could just earn them back to boost tanba senpai s confidence back .
In the 2nd inning , yuki senpai was intentionally walked so he advanced to the first base , next masuko senpai was struck out and finally my turn came . Just as I had expected , sanada chose to fight it out with me which I fully appreciated . He threw a fastball aimed at out corner of the strike zone . It was slightly high so I took a heavy step forward and hit the ball with inhumane swing speed . Without look at the outcome, I leisurely started circling the field . It was a home run and I scored 2 run home run as yuki senpai also ran and touched the home plate . I saw the fighting spirit still burning in sanada eyes and was relieved that I could score more at my next at bat .
We could not score anymore runs in that inning as sanada struck out miyuki senpai after me . The game continued and in the last half of the game, I could see that sanada was insanely tired and shouted from bench to target his fastball now to my teammates. Then runs started piling up and we won the game . The end score was 7 to 2 . Tanba senpai got caught and raichi scored 2 single home runs in the game . But tanba senpai didn't falter and struck out everybody else completely displaying great fighting spirit .
My achievements in the match were .
One 2 run and 2 single home runs at 3 at bats .
Raichi was still laughing at the end of the game and I also copied him and started laughing out loud . I liked his fighting spirit so I decided to become his friend . Everybody on our dugout were watching me stupidly as they had first time seen me laugh . I ignored their expressions and went to the opponents bench .
Ken- to todoroki kun , you scored 2 home runs from our ace so be happy . Hahaha.. .

And just with 2 two words we became friends and started laughing identically.
After that we went back to seido training facilities and have post game meeting .
