Seeing that no one else is doing anything and Ron and Hermione are nowhere in sight, I push through the crowd to try and get to the middle to where the boys are. After what feels like forever, I finally get to the boys and just as I step into the space the other students have given them, Draco throws another punch at Harry hitting him on the other side of the face, leaving a mark.

I run in between the boys and help Harry stand up straight, then I turn to look at Draco completely shocked to see he's got 2 cuts on his face too except both on the same side of his face. Harry must've fought back or something, good for him.

"Oh for God's sakes, what do you want, y/l/n?" Draco exclaims.

"What do you think you dick. Everyone leave and go back to your lunch things," I say as I hear groans from the people gathered around us, watching whatever was going down. Now it's just me, Draco, Harry and the 2 chubby boys that seem to follow Draco, who I found out their name's are like Crabbe and Goyle or something. I had Dean and Blaise go inside the Great Hall to start eating lunch, I told them I'd meet with them after.

"What the hell happened," I ask the two boys glaring at them.

"Bloody hell, why don't you mind your own business?" he yells at me, the glare in his eyes intensifying with every second.

"You should be glad I stepped in and had everyone leave before Harry could've beat your ass in front of all of them. I literally did you a favour, you prick," I say looking him up and down.

"Why you," he starts to say as he walks over to me as Harry steps in front of me to block Draco off. I tug on Harry's arm, "let's go, Harry, he's not worth it."

We turn to walk away, leaving Draco with his minions as Pansy runs over to him. I turn back to look at him and see Pansy pulling out a wet cloth, trying to clean the cuts on his face, but he keeps pushing her away from him.

"Now, tell me what the hell that was all about," I say turning back to Harry as we walk into the Great Hall for lunch.

"Well I was on my way to eat lunch when he walked over to me, demanding I stop speaking to you because we're rivals but I told him it wasn't up to him and the only way I'd stop talking to you is if you told me you didn't want me to anymore," he continues, "He kept insisting and threatening me, bringing my dead parents into it and I couldn't stop or help myself when I just threw a punch. It felt good, but that just invited him to hit me back."

I chuckle to myself, remembering when I had punched Draco just yesterday on Hogwarts Express, thinking about how it did feel good to hit Draco.

"I don't get why he's so bothered by me being friends with you guys, like he gave me shit about it this morning too but I just told him I don't give a fuck about what he has to say. It's not up to him, you know?" I huff in frustration. I continue, "like I get that we're rivals and all but it's not like I'm helping you guys get points or know secret shit, HELL I don't even know any secrets in the house, so I don't know why he's so worked up about it."

"He's just like that, he likes to be in control," Harry rolls his eyes.

"I don't give a fuck who he is or who is dad is but I'll be damned if he thinks he can just tell me what to do with my personal life."

As we near our tables, my housemates wave me over to them, looking back at Harry I see that Hermione and Ron have run in, their eyes scanning the room for Harry. When they spot him they start to make their way over.

"We heard what happened, are you okay, Harry?" Hermione rushes to ask.

"I heard you got a couple punches in eh? How did that feel?" Ron asks at the same time with a grin on his face.

Hermione looks at Ron giving him an "are you serious right now, that's what you want to ask him first?" look, which makes Harry and I laugh a little.

"Alright I'm going to go have lunch with my housemates, I'll see you guys in Potions in a bit," I say before turning to Harry and giving him a smile.

"Thanks for helping me out, I'll see you later," he says smiling back as he puts his cute and dorky glasses on before turning to his friends to sit and have lunch with them.

"Hey guys," I say as I sit down joining my friends.

"Hey so what was happening out there?" Dean asks while he chews the food in his mouth.

As I shovel some food onto the clean plate in from of me, I explain to them what Harry told me. When I'm done explaining, Tracey says rolling her eyes, "Ugh he's so controlling it's so annoying and obnoxious. He has his own life to worry about."

"That's what I'm saying, like he shouldn't be so worried about me being friendly with them."

"Well, I don't know, I think he has somewhat of a fair point guys like  Gryffindor is literally our rival house, I don't get why you're getting so close with them. Maybe you should get closer with your own housemates before them, you know? But honestly, I don't even know if that's the sole reason he's being a dick about you and Harry talking to each other. I keep catching him staring at you, watching you while you eat, talk to people or just while you're doing things. Maybe he's jealous of you 2," Daphne interjects.

I choke a little on the water I was drinking and everyone's mouths just drop open as she finishes her last sentence and then goes back to her food like what she just said was normal.

"I'm sorry?" I manage to get out in between breathes.

"Listen I have known Draco for 5 years now and I have never seen him look at someone the way he looks at you," she defends.

"With so much anger? Hatred? I think you've got it wrong, love, it's the opposite of what you just said," I counter.

"I don't know, I'm just saying it is a possibility," she shrugs.

I look to Blaise for some back up but he's looking down at his plate and when he looks up he also looks somewhat confused but mixed with another emotion or feeling, but I can't pinpoint what it is exactly. Dean just looks uncomfortable, not knowing how to react or what to say.

"Anyways," Tracey says, also surprised by what Daphne suggested, she turns to look at me, "you ready for potions?"

Grateful for the changing in subjects, I sigh and reply, "Yeah, somewhat ready."
