Violet's POV
———————————————————————————
This is bad. They're getting closer and closer to us, whoever THEY are. Hopefully Y/N can hold them off until I find- THE LEG!

I quickly grab what we came for, and start to make my way back to Y/N. I enter the room just as I hear the gunshot. I see Y/N collapse on the floor and a man starts to walk over Y/N with his gun being holstered. He doesn't look like he wants to kill him, but I don't feel the same way about this man.

I quickly aim my gun and shoot him in the head, and he falls to the floor in a matter of seconds. I rush over to Y/N and try to cover his wound.

"Jesus Y/N! What the fuck!"

His shoulder was bleeding pretty badly, and he looked like he was going in and out of it. Y/N tries picking himself up, but I do my best to hold him down. Even in the state he's in, he still has a lot of strength somehow.

Y/N finally stops and lays back down. Voices start to get closer from the hall, and I start to panic. We need to get out of here before more come.

"Vi, get out of here and hide. Wait until they're gone and then get that leg to Clem."

I turn to Y/N and see that he has a smile on his face. He reaches for my hand and I grab it immediately.

"You can't be serious! I'm not going to leave you."

"Tell Clem I'm sorry. I should have listened to her. Don't worry about me, I'll be fine."

Tears start to flow down my cheeks as the realization that I'll never see Y/N again sets in. Before I get the chance to argue, doors down the hall slam open. They'll be here any minute.

I look back to Y/N and give him a hug. My memories of Y/N and the others start to flow through my head. So many times he was there for us, helping us when he needed the most help. I give him a kiss on the cheek and whisper in his ear.

"I'm sorry Y/N. We love you."

I try to hold him longer, but he instantly pushes me away from him. "Go! Get out of here!"

I wipe my nose and eyes, and turn to hide in a neighboring room. I get outside the room and hide in a closet close by. Soldiers walk into Y/N's room, and subdue him quickly.

They don't kill him though. They put a bag over his head and carry him down the stairs. "Get him to the medic. He'll make a fine addition to the cause."

The hell are they talking about? Should I follow these guys? We'll never know where Y/N is if I don't, but what can I do?

I sink down to my knees in the closet, and begin to let the tears flow. I just lost one of my closest friends again, and I couldn't do anything about it.

I spent the rest of the night hiding there. Crying, hoping to see him one more time.

———————————————————————————
I wake up in the morning and start to head out. The body is still there at the hospital, but all his supplies were taken. I did grab from his body some information on where they might be located. The man had a diary on him, so hopefully we can get some answers.

When I walk down the flight of stairs, I start to notice more bodies then before. Those guys must of had a fight with some walkers last night when I was asleep. Doesn't look like many of them died, so these guys are pretty tough.

I see the tire tracks leading further north, so we might want to actually go north for our new home. If it makes the chance of finding Y/N higher, then I'm sure they'll agree.

I spent most of the day walking back home. I stop to hide from walkers every once in a while, but for the most part I have no trouble. My thoughts go back and forth from worrying about Y/N to being scared at how the others will react.

It's bad enough Clem was against us going, but now what she thought is going to come true. She's going to be mad obviously, but she's most likely going to be upset.

I don't have much more time to think before I get close to the school. The sound of kids chatting inside and doing choirs settles me, but the realization that this will change brings me down.

Willy's on lookout when he sees me. He doesn't make any loud announcement of my return. He quietly gets the others attention, and then silently watches me enter the school.

Everyone, except Omar and Ruby, is gathered around a table sorting supplies. Everyone realizes I'm all by myself, and instantly assume the worst.

Aasim curses to himself, Omar grabs Ruby's hand to support her, Louis takes a seat and begins to cry, and Clem collapses to the ground.

Aj is the first one to speak, walking forward nonchalantly. He might be unaware of what's going on, or maybe he just doesn't believe it.

"Where's Y/N?"

I think for a moment trying to find the words to say. How can anyone ever be ready for doing something as serious and painful as this?

"He....he got hurt."

"SO YOU LEFT HIM!?"

I quickly turn to Clem. Her eyes are already bloody red and she's shaking all over.

"I think it's best if I start from the beginning."

For the next hour, they spend it listening to me. I tell them about how he was regretting everything leading up to the trip. I tell them all about the strange group and how they took Y/N. I make sure to let them know what he was thinking before he was captured.

"He was sorry. He apologized multiple times to me when he was...He was full of guilt. Clem, Y/N was thinking of you in the end. Felt that he let you down, let all of us down. I tried to comfort him, but he was still thinking about others in the end."

"What do you mean?"

I smile and wipe the tears from my eyes. "He pushed me away. I tried to give him a final goodbye, but he wasn't having it. Just wanted to know I was safe and on my way home with the leg before..."

"It is what it is."

Everyone turns to Clem, who has a stone cold face on. Most of us are shocked by her response, but some of us know she isn't showing how she truly feels.

No one knows how to respond, so collective replies of silent agreements and head nods follow.

Louis franticly writes on his paper and hands it to Aasim.

"It doesn't have to be. Is there any way we can find Y/N?"

Everyone looks back to me and I quickly pull out the man's book. "I took this off of the dead soldiers body. It's his diary, so it might have some clues."

Everyone starts to smile and ask questions, but are stopped quickly. Clem stands up, thanks to her new leg, and looks around the table.

"We agreed to leave the next morning when they returned. We can't search for...him. We don't have the food supplies to survive that long, and we don't know where their base is."

Everyone starts to protest, but are shut down quick by Clem.

"We're leaving tomorrow morning. Pack you things and dress heavy. It's going to be a cold walk."

Clem turns and walks back to her room. Aasim can't hold his anger any longer and shouts to Clem.

"Would Y/N be reacting the same if it was you taken?!"

Clem stops for a moment. She clenches her fists, and then continues to walk inside he building.

We all sit silently, not knowing what to do. I quickly stand up, unable to deal with this anymore. I just want this bad dream to end.

"Goodnight guys."
