30. Drunk & tired eyes speak the truth

All 3 girls were talking to each other in my room as I got out with my short black dress that was just above my knees and my wavy curls down. Also my black high heels.

I'm not a fan of this but I guess you can never go against Lory.

And plus Mason texted saying he wanted me to meet his friend group so I should wear something fancy.... I went for my red dress that had spaghetti strips but he said a black dress would do the trick so...

It was around 6pm when we got to the party and immediately Dayven and Alex got out because the group of guys, their friend group, came rushing. David didn't go at first because, well I thought it was because of something else but when I got out of the car with others he stopped me dead in my track.

"I couldn't get my phone to work with your phone for the location but that doesn't mean Dayven and others phones didnt." He have me his warm eyes thru the crowd and the messy lights of the party.

"If you need anything, just call me or-"
"I get it" I laughed. This guy really is putting it much much more.

He was gonna start talking again until I made him realize how his friend group was calling him from behind.

"Go, I'll be fine with others" I smiled warmly.

I get he's like my brother and this is his "job" is what people say but he acts like I don't even have parents. He literally won't even let me talk to any guy in a wrong way or if he doesn't improve then it's a no in no. Like hello? That's what my dad is for?!!

I entered the party with my friend group of girls when Jackie and Emily went straight to beers and alcohol. "Ahy.. you guuuuys." I followed after them knowing this was gonna be a long night just from this moment.

"N-no Emily no" I took the drink out of her hands but she grabbed another one.

"Daven is going to kill you if you drink too much and I can't stop you after 3+ cups" Her eyes met mine and she looked at me like I'm literally a baby. "You can't be serious" she asked.

"You're never fun girl" Jackie said and took her second shot. I looked at both of them knowing damn well I lost. I looked behind me and Alex was sitting on the counter looking at a group of people.

I went to sit next to her and tried to see where she was looking but it was hard thru all the sweaty people, everybody yelling, colorful lights moving everywhere from above, and music so loud I couldn't hear my own breathing.

she went "Alexis. I'm looking at Alexis" she said it so quietly.

Ok maybe I can hear my own breathing if I can hear her talk this quietly.

"Did something happen" I asked.

"I don't think he wants me, wavily- I mean she's been acting really strange. Like-" she tried to correct herself then she looked down.

I looked at her confused. "Why the hell would you say that. He likes you" i sweetly said trying to cheer me her up but also concerned on why the hell she thinks that. The guy is obviously head over heels for her.

"Did he say that?" I asked after a while but she shook her head. "No. But I can feel it" she looked at me.

"Don't worry queen. It's his loss if it happens- I mean it will never because he's literally in love with you." I tried to make her feel better but realized I was making it worse.

She looked at the group again which made me look at them again when I saw Dayven.

He was drinking too. Before I looked away he saw me and caught my eyes too, he wasn't the one who was gonna break the eye contact and I wasn't the one to keep the eye contact. What felt like 10 seconds and I looked away feeling awkward when mason came right next to me.
