So last night I took a free opportunity to play My Future by Billie Eilish for my mom. It's one of my current favorite songs, and I thought she might like it cause of the different style. YOU KNOW WHAT SHE SAID?? "It's just more whispery nonsense. All her songs sound the same except for the background music, which you can't even hear her voice over." WHAAAT? I COULD HEAR HER VOICE JUST FINE. AND THERE'S MORE TO MUSIC THEN LOUD LYRICS. All of Billie's songs tell different stories, but obviously my mom doesn't listen to the actual words. BUT OH WELL I STILL LOVE THAT SONG.
And I also told my mom in the live version I played for her (we were driving) that Billie was "really really pretty" in it. SHE DIDN'T EVEN SAY ANYTHING. SHE SAYS I DON'T LIKE GIRLS, THEN WHEN I TRY AND TALK ABOUT ONE SHE DOESN'T WANT TO HEAR IT. AHHHHHHHHHHHHH
