I went into the elevator and pressed the button for floor five. I didn't notice there was someone else in the elevator until I heard a scraggly voice. "Hey babe, want some drugs?" asked a scrawny man. "Um..I'm fine thanks..." I said, feeling uncomfortable. It was dead silence until the elevator beeped when we reached floor five. He got off too. I started to walk and he seemed to follow me. I reached my room and opened it, and noticed he opened the room next to mine. "Looks like we're neighbors!" he said and gave me a creepy smile. Oh shit.
Once I went into the room, I locked the door. There's no fucking way that I would leave the door unlocked with that creep next door. I put my suitcase on the bed and turned on the TV to the news channel. "Police sources say that a murderer is on the loose in Austin, Texas. Make sure you lock all doors." I smiled. "Already did that bitch!" I said. I then realized where I am. I'm in Austin! How could I be so fucking stupid?!.....oh shit. I'm on an adventure and I'm driving around the city and probably around Texas and there is a fucking murderer on the loose!
After a while of freaking out, I finally calmed down. I decided to call my grandparents and let them know where I was. I took my blue iPhone 5c out of my bag and called my grandma. It rang a few times before she answered. "If this is State Farm again I swear I'm going to cancel the fucking contract!" she yelled into the phone. "Wow....grandma calm down! It's me, Amanda." I said laughing. "Oh...hi Mandy! How are you?" she said, obviously embarrassed. "I'm fine!" I said. "I'm in Austin right now. I'm staying at the Mariott hotel!" I heard my grandpa in the background. "Lydia, did Amanda hear that whole episode about State Farm?" asked my grandpa. "Tell grandpa that I did, I love him, and that I'm sorry that he has to hear you scream at your insurance company every time you answer the phone." I said, smiling. "I'll tell him the first two!" my grandma said laughing. "Well, have fun in Austin. Take pictures!" she said, and she hung up. That was quick! She was probably making dinner though, so I got why she hung up. I flopped onto the bed and turned the TV back on. "Now for a new episode of Lost in the Big City." I jumped up and whooped. Score!
