*next day*
ZACH
I woke up to the sound of people walking and talking outside.
I felt Newts head on my chest.
I looked at him and saw that he was still sleeping.
He moved a little and put his hand on my chest and I giggled.
"Darling"
"ZACH! COME ON! WE GOTTA GO!" I heard Minho.
"I'll be out soon! Just give me a second!"
"Dont go"
"Darling I gotta go help Minho and Thomas"
"No!"
I sighed and rubbed his head slowly.
"I'll be back soon. I promise"
"Fine"
I got up and put my clothes on and walked over to Newt. I kissed his cheek and walked out of the cabin.
I put the thing on and walked to the doors to find Thomas and Minho there.
"Ready?" Thomas asked.
"I should be asking you that question since it is your first time being a runner"
"Right"
"Alright. Let's go" Minho said and we ran in.
We soon got to number 7 and we walked down the hallway.
There was a big pathway with 2 big drops on the side. And then there was a wall surrounding the place and a wall at the end of it.
We walked over and I sighed.
"It's just another dead end" Minho said.
Then I heard a noise behind us.
The wall was opening. Then there were 2 other walls behind it that went up.
Then I saw a big hole at the end.
We walked over to the hole and I saw stuff on the wall.
"Grievers" I said.
Then I heard a noise and then there was a red light that scanned us. Then there was another loud noise and we realized that it was closing.
"Go! Go! Go!" I yelled.
We started running back.
We ran out and saw the plates closing.
We ran through them and then Thomas got stuck on the other side and we continued running.
"THOMAS!"
"ZACH! MINHO!"
He then ran through and I caught him before he could fall over and we continued running.
Then we went through a wall that was closing and we fell to the ground and I sighed in relief.
We ran back to see some of the Gladers standing there.
"What the hell was going on out there?" Newt asked.
We started walking.
"We found something. A new passage. We think it could be a way out" Thomas said.
"Really?" Newt asked.
"Its true. We opened a door. Something I've never seen before. Think it must be where the Grievers go during the day" Minho said.
