Adrien's POV
"Adrien," My father said sternly. "We cannot afford to screw this up again."
"Yes, father," I replied.
Tonight was the night. The night of the gala. My one and only goal is to find her and take her miraculous from her... even if it takes some convincing.
"The theme is a masquerade. You would think that would give away your identities, but I think it will make it just as hard to recognize each other as it would without a mask. There is nothing I can do of the matter, it's the theme the Bourgeois wanted," my father started. "You will wear a black mask and tux and your hair will be slick back to help cover your identity somehow. There will be plenty of photographers there to take photos of you and Lila so look sharp."
"Alright father," I started. "Is there any last information you need me to know about Ladybug?"
"Her earrings are black circles when not in use. They will most likely be in her ears in fear that you would try to take them. You will wear silk gloves to hide your ring for most of the night as well."
"Ok got it."
Tonight I need to find out who she is or at least have an idea knowing that she will be there.
Marinette's POV
This was the hardest dress that I have ever had to make. The baby blue lace was thick and sewing on the flowers to the body and the top of the flair was quite difficult. The high low was a look I had never gone for before... but it turned out amazing. The off the shoulder detailings were my favorite part because they made me feel like I was walking through the garden. But now wasn't the time for that.
I rode in the limo that the Fu agency provided to me. Master Fu didn't come along for his own safety. My earrings both have a flower hot glues on to the top of them so no one could recognize that they were miraculous in disguise. My hair was curled and down for a change so I felt it grace past my shoulders. I had let it grow out a bit since high school. The car slowed down as we approached a beautiful estate by the water in Paris.
"This really is the Bourgeois Gala?" I asked the limo driver.
"Yes, it is. It's one of the most elegant places I've ever visited," He replied. "I suggest you go out there now ma'am."
"Alright, thank you," I said as I placed on my mask.
As I stepped out of the car cameras were flashing at me from all directions. No one knew who I was so I was confused as to why they would all film me. I turned around.
They weren't photographing me at all.
I looked at the limo behind me and out steps a girl in a sleek golden dress with stilettos and the most bedazzled set of hoops I've ever seen. Her mask was covering most of her face so I couldn't see who she was. I realized I was still in the middle of the carpet and had to start walking. Quickly turning back, around I got nervous as I headed straight for the doors. Or at least as I tried to head to the doors.
Before I knew it I was on the ground in front of all the photographers. Of course, I fall right here and right now. The girl int he golden dress walked right past me without a thought. She must see noobs like me everyday... I couldn't focus on the names they were calling out because I was too humiliated.
I felt a light tap on my shoulder. I felt a tip of silk on my bare shoulder.
"Here," a voice said.
I looked up and saw a guy with eyes that were forest green. His sun-kissed blond hair was slicked back and he looked like a gentleman. He reached out to his white silk glove and helped me up.
"Thank you," I said looking at his noir mask.
"My pleasure M'lady," he said as he kissed my hand and walked ahead of me.
Wow...
