((So many people wanted chapter 5, so here it is))
"Hi, I'm Hanji Zoe! You must be the new member."
You looked up wearily. You had ran off, and weren't expecting to be followed. Can't anyone have any time alone? You thought.
"..(F/n)." You replied, your tone dead.
"..I'm guessing your last name is Magnolia..? I'm really sorry." Hanji flopped down beside you. "..But they're in a world without titans. They're happier now."
You shrugged. "Doesn't mean I'm any happier."
"Oh come on now!" Hanji slapped your shoulder playfully. "If you died, I'm sure Levi would be sad, but you're out of this hell!"
"Maybe I'm just selfish." You weren't in the mood to talk to some random girl. She seemed slightly odd, so cheerful and optimistic. "It would be so much better if all the Titans died. Not them."
Suddenly, you felt yourself being lifted up. Hanji had grabbed your collar. "Wh-Wha?!" You spluttered in surprise. One moment of weakness you instantly regretted.
"But don't you want to learn about them?!" Hanji shouted at your face. "Where they came from? What their goal is? Why they eat humans?!" Hanji's voice was slowly rising. Clearly, this four eyed maniac wasn't something to mess with. "Why don't you stop sulking around and actually do something?!" She dropped you on the ground and stomped off.
You were quiet shocked to be spoken of to this way. Most people you had met today just turned away from you and muttered something about underground criminals. This was the first time somebody besides Levi, Isabel and Farlen didn't treat you like dirt or a bomb that was ticking off.
For some strange reason, it warmed your heart.
