Chapter Three: Scouting Leigion

Levi didn't answer for a few moments.

"...It's good to see you again, (nickname)." He finally said. "Glad you..you f-finally toughen up.." His voice finally broke.

The next thing you knew, Levi was hugging you tightly and silently crying into your cloak.

"I..I thought I lost you.." Levi whispered. "I thought you were killed, or thought we abandoned you.."

"I did.." You said quietly to him. Tears were forming from your eyes too.

You had found one of your family.

"..Levi." Hanji said. "Who is she really?"

Levi wiped the tears from his face.

"My gang member. When Erwin captured us, she wasn't caught. Her name is (full name)." Levi tried to return to his monotone voice, but failed.

You just sat their, stubbed, as hot tears flowed down your face.

"How are Mike and Nanane?" Levi asked.

"Mike's fine, but Nanabe's out cold. Just from one kick too. Who taught you?" Hanji turned to you.

"..Levi." You finally said.

"Her arms are really weak, compared to her legs. Some genetic stuff." Levi explained, getting up.

Hanji nodded. "(F/n), I have a deal for you."

"Lend the Scouting Legion your strength and you'll be spared of your crimes."

You looked up for the first time. "..Outside?" You asked vaguely.

"You'll get to be outside." Levi said softly to you. "Even outside the walls. You'll be free, and I'll always be with you."

Your face grinned and looked down. It was more than you could ever hope for. Besides the fear of titans, it was the best of the best. You had decided before humans were scarier than titans anyway.
