Three years had passed since you were left alone, and you were managing well by yourself. You had finally mastered the 3D-MG and were living by yourself in the house you lived before with the other three. Usually, you would help doing odd jobs in Wall Sina, seeming like an innocent, cheerful girl who would never even think of hurting anyone.
No one would have suspected you were the infamous Black cat of the shadows, appearing from what seemed out of the darkness and when she was being chased, could run and hide as fast as a cat. It seemed to be the nickname the people had given you, or 'Shadow King, as the cloak you wore to cover yourself was pitch black.
You had just finished selling the jewelry you had stolen from a Nobel yesterday. Quiet early too, as it was only noon.
Looking around, you saw a small crowd of people muttering and pointing at you.
You sighed. Trouble came early today.
You started swinging in your 3D-MG. Indeed, four people in green cloaks were chasing you on foot.
'Typical Military Police.' You thought to yourself. 'They think they can bring down the Shadow King on foot?'
But after a around ten minutes, they still hadn't given up. You were only soaring at a normal pace, and they were getting closer.
'Not bad!' You thought, amused. 'Are they really the Military Police?'
You turned your head and looked at the symbols on their cloak. It was a bit hard to see, but you could make out wings instead of the weird unicorn. 'The Scouting Legion, huh? That's why they're so good. This is going to be fun.' You chuckled to yourself and sped up.
When you stopped, you couldn't see them anymore. 'Maybe I gave them too much credit..' You thought to yourself.
You didn't see them coming from behind you.
"Shit!" You tried to dodge, but whoever was trying to knock you down was faster. You crashed and slid on the dirty ground, getting dirt on your black cloak. Fortunately, the hood had stayed on.
"Hello, Shadow King. Seems we've finally caught up to you." A woman with messy brown hair walked towards her, her glasses shining in the light, making her look a bit psychotic.
"I hope you don't mind, but-" She reached out a hand, obviously going to pull the hood off you.
You tried to put on a scared face when your face was revealed. You started to tremble, making you look like just a weak and vulnerable little girl.
"A-A girl?" One of the men cried, surprised. "Dang it! She was just a bait?"
One of the woman, with really short hair sighed. "The Shadow King is most likely a man. Let's just go." She and the others started walking away.
'Most likely a man? Good job, idiots in Sina.' You thought, thanking the idiocy of the police. 'But before you go..remember..'
You stood up and started running towards her in silent strides.
'Never underestimate the Shadow King.'
You struck her on the head with the side of your foot. Hard.
She gasped in surprise as the pain hit her and she fell to the ground.
"Nanabe!" One of the men cried. "Dammit! She really is the Shadow King!" He flung himself at her, trying to punch her in the face. He narrowly missed her, and you knocked him down by kicking him in the stomach.
"Never turn your back on the shadows." You laughed cruelly.
"Yeah, she's the real Shadow King. Her style of fighting is side kicking, in small moves." The woman with glasses hissed, taking out a dagger.
"Wait a second, Haji." The man who kicked her took the knife from his partner and threw it far away to the ground. He then put his hands up in a surrender. "We just want to talk, Shadow King."
Still not trusting them, you cautiously padded towards them.
You were fast. Or so you thought you were.
As fast as lightning, you attempted to kick his head, but he had somehow dodged it and swerved around you, aiming for your back.
Crap! You had to block it with your arms, which were way weaker than your legs.
But that wasn't his plans. Grabbing your arms, he forced you down to your knees.
He was panting. "Good job. You finally caught up, (nickname)."
You froze when he said that. There was only three people in the whole world who called you that. That could only mean...
"Levi?" You whispered, your (e/c) orbs meeting his stormy ones. "Is that you?"
