Chapter12

"You know he probably turned on you because you're always hovering over him. Maybe he just wanted to be alone. Ever thought of that?" Dark Haru spoke up. I knew he was frowning. Probably glaring at her.

"Hovering? Over who? Subaru? " She asked with a gasp. It's as if she didn't want to believe it.

"Over momiji." Kyo answered in a calmer tone.

"No I wasn't." She said in denial. Probably frowning. I rolled my eyes for what felt like the thousandth time that night. "I'm just worried about him thats all."

"Yeah well you need to start worrying about yourself rather than others." Haru snapped.

"He's one step away from killing you little butterfly." I heard Laito speak up from outside the door. I sighed quietly. I hadn't even seen him leave.

"Shit. I knew it." Haru mumbled irritated.

"How can we keep her alive?" Kyo asked all seriousness in his voice.

"Simple. Let momiji wander alone." Ayato said seriously probably holding Yui. I had a feeling from the tone of his voice that he was smirking.

"What if he hurts him?" She asked again. I was really getting tired of that question and the more I heard it the more aggravated I became.

"You really don't know anything do you?" Shuu's voice appeared outside. I knew he was probably laying down on the couch. That's his usual spot.

"I've never met a more bothersome woman." Reiji spoke up also irritated.

"You know Subaru isn't the only one who wants to kill you." Kanato said. I knew he was serious. He was probably looking at his teddy as he talked to her. "You would look beautiful in my collection. You'd be the prettiest one."

Now my room was empty once more. Sighing softly to myself.

"I-I'm sorry. I didn't mean to bother anyone." She stuttered out. She backed up into my door. I knew this because I felt the weight pushing on my door increase.

"You are a very conceded woman if you thought otherwise." Kanato told her. I inwardly smirked as I heard her breathing pick up.

Not hearing any footsteps I knew the boys weren't shielding her. Did she think they would be able to protect her? She was completely ignorant if she did.

"You know little butterfly its hard to hold ourselves back." Laito teased. I almost wanted to laugh at her discomfort. But sadly I kept it in because it would give myself away.

"I love that look on your face." Kanato said chuckling a little. "That look of fear on your face. It's really adorable." I could only imagine him smiling.

"Leave her alone." Kyo demanded. I imagined him walking in front her.

"I just want to talk to him." Momiji said breaking the conversation between them.

"Well if you ask maybe he'll let you in." Shuu said in a tired voice.

"Subaru?" He called through the door. As much as I wanted to answer, I stayed silent. It was too good to be true. To convenient for me.

"Momiji dont." I heard Tohru whisper. A tear slipped down my cheek. I was angry with her for always stepping in. And at myself for letting myself feel these things.

"TOHRU!" I heard kyo whisper yell. He was smart to warn her.

"What? I don't want him close to him alone. What if he bites him?" She finally let out her true colors. She just didn't want to let go of him. And why was beyond me.
