The other day I got to do an interview with author RavenInWonderland! She is the Queen of the Sorcerers!About The Unrule Tales of Siena
When did you first start writing this book?
- "I started writing Unruly last November though I went on hiatus from December to March."What sparked this idea (for the book)?
- "I'm not sure exactly where the idea came from to be honest. I get an idea and I bounce it off my sister, so she is also responsible for helping me to develop the characters. Twelve Dancing Princesses Fairytale definitely influenced the development. I wanted Alderon to be your storybook kingdom with a hint of magic thrown in and some mystery over the more mech punk Mary. The central romance of the book is also unique, starting from strangers slow burning into friendship/attraction and just truly growing together. It's a pure kind of love."What was your favorite thing/part about writing this story?
- "This book is going to be the first of a trilogy. So I get excited that there are so many things the readers don't know yet. I love when I see people comment about how much they love Sienna as a character, and I can't wait for them to see her grow as a person."About RavenInWonderland :
What made you want to start writing?
- "I started writing in middle school actually. My "first book" was inspired by Twilight (cos I was obsessed with it back then). I wrote a chapter in my notebook then showed it to my best friend who in turn passed it around to all the girls in my history class. I was writing ten page updates a day on this book, and it would be passed around. And all my friends loved it and constantly asked me for more. I felt very proud. From that moment, I wanted to be a writer. (But not totally rip off from Twilight). What do you like to do when you're not writing?
- "I like spending time with my family, reading different stories on here and some paperback romances, and playing Realm Royale or Overwatch."When did you first start writing?
- "Same as #1."Suggestions or advice for new writers?
- "Don't let criticisms bring you down. Always thank those who take time to read your work. Always work to improve yourself. It is a never ending journey."What're some fun facts you'd like to share?
- "Most, if not all, of my characters in both my books are a mixture of traits that I have handpicked from the people in my life. As an author, there is a little bit of myself, my soul, in every sentence of my work."Other Stories from RavenInWonderland
