The Three Stars

Our lips were locked together for a few moments, but then I slowly moved my head and ooked down.

"Hey what's wrong" Cedric whispered

I was still looking down and ignoring what he was saying.

He waited a few seconds before he lifted my chin up slowly and looked into my eyes.

"Peanut I didn't mean to make you uncomfortable" he said sadly

"Oh no, God no you didn't", that was true. It was the best moment of my life

"I love you" he said after a few seconds

"Yeah me too" I added as I put my head on his chest

He wrapped his hands around me for the rest of the dance.

Rest of the night was beautiful. We sang and danced like crazy at every song. After the Ball he walked me to the doors of the Slytherin common room and kissed me goodnight. I went in and closed the door. As I went in I pushed my back against the door. I was smiling like an idiot, but I was so happy.

When I entered the room I thought I was alone until I spotted Draco sitting on the leather couch.

"So you and Diggory huh?" He groaned

"It would be my pleasure to entertain you Malfoy but I'm really tired" I said while still smiling

"Oh Humor me Evans"

He was reading a book, didn't move his eyes off of it actually. In all my years I have never seen him read a book, so naturally I tried to figure out which one it was. I couldn't figure it out, so I just gave up and went upstairs because I really was tired. When I entered my room I saw Pansy sitting on her bed. I didn't say anything to her because deep down I knew that if I started talking we would be here until Friday.

"How did you do it" she suddenly said as I started to take off my make up

"How did I do what" I responded quietly

"How did you find a new dress in a matter of minutes and managed to look so bloody beautiful" she hissed while looking at me

"I didn't find a new dress", I said, "This was my original dress I just put it in Cedricks room because I knew that it wasn't safe here"

"Turns out I was right" I added

"Pssst, I'm here" I heard a familiar voce whisper from the other side of my door

It was Cedric. We made plans earlier to go watch the stars from the tower.

"Are you nervous "I asked quietly while playing with his fingers

"I'm not, but I am worried about Harry though. He is the youngest and the least experienced"

"Yeah he mentioned you helped him, thank you for that, but I'm sure he will be fine" I said as I looked up at him.

We sat there for hours. It was the day of the last challenge. The Tournament was almost over and Hermione and I couldn't be happier. We both missed hanging out with Harry and Cedric because they were both too busy preparing for the challenges. We saw three shooting stars. We named them Lily, Peanut and Buttercup. I called him Buttercup, he called me Peanut and Lily is my little sister. We talked about her for a while. Mostly about how she is growing up so fast. She is actually coming to Hogwarts next year which made us think of her.

"Look, I have to go, I want to practice a few more spells before tomorrow. Do you want me to walk you back to the common room?" he asked softly

"No, I was actually thinking of staying for a little while"

"Okay Peanut see you tomorrow" he whispered right before he kissed me and then left.

I stayed in the tower for a little longer but then I decided to go for a short walk to clear my mind. This whole Cedric and I thing was still very new and confusing. I decided to go into the courtyard because there was a tree I wanted to get up on. As I entered the courtyard I could see someone there, sitting on the grass. For a few moments I thought it was a teacher but then I realized it was a student, but I still couldn't quite tell who it was.

"Hello" I whispered as I approached the person and tapped them on the shoulder.

He jumped as he turned around and I couldn't believe it..

"Draco?!" I shouted surprisingly

"Sydney?!" he said with the same tone

"What on earth are you doing here" I asked while I slowly sat down next to him

"Oh.... uhm nothing, nothing I just couldn't sleep" he murmured while covering something next to him up with his jumper, "what are you doing here" he continued

"Uhh I snuck out with Cedric, but he left so..."

We were just sitting there, in silence for a while, but it wasn't awkward it actually felt really... right. I decided to lay on my back because that is how I usually watch the stars.

"Try it", I said while my back slowly touched the ground

"Try what?" He asked

"Lay down, it's the best to watch them that way"

He didn't say anything until he way laying down, then he just sighed and said:

"Wow, its beautiful"

I was so shocked. Never in a million years did I think that I would be talking this way with Draco Malfoy let along watch and discuss stars with him. I always thought that Draco was completely heartless, turns out I was wrong.

"Hey Malfoy" I whispered

He didn't reply, he just turned his head and looked at me.

I looked back at him and said:

"What did you hide under your jumper when I came here" I continued

He smiled softly as he reached under his jumper and pulled out a book.

"This" he said as he handed me the book

I recognized the book in a matter of seconds.

"This is my favorite book about astronomy", "or my favorite book in general to be honest" I added

He just smiled softly as he looked at me and said:

"I know"
