Do you remember the amount of lies you told me until now?

I've lost count in fact,

But it could be close to that song: Five hundred twenty five thousand?

And every single one of them I kept in mind,

So that I could use them as a retaliation technique when we'd break up,

And I wouldn't be held back by your lost eyes, pained face and angelic voice telling me to stay - again,

For the hundredth times.

The first time you lied was when you told me you were a bell boy at my hotel in California,

That was where we met, remember?

I still recall the minute where Kieran Gibbs yelled your name in the lobby, and said that coach was calling.

Bell boys didn't need coaches, right?

I laughed though, and you told me that I was beautiful when I let that soft laugh ring and your soft fingers curled my lonely strands of hair behind my blushing cheeks and crimson colored ears.

The most hurtful time you lied to me was when you lied to me that this was going to be a prosperous relationship, that we were going to make it healthy, that we were going to get married, that we were going to make it happen,

Together.

And the last time you lied to me was just yesterday. You called my cell saying something about training, that I wholeheartedly and stupidly believed.

And atlas, you came home smelling like lavender scented perfume and strong sense of alcohol to your brain.

I pulled on to your sleeve as you went up the stairs, ignoring my calls of your name,

And at that moment, I learned to let go.
