First Ending

It's the next day, and you and Diane walk to school, meeting Becca on the way, You three find Charlotte in the lobby and head to your lockers to grab your binders.

Just as your lock pops open, someone says your name from behind you. Turning your head a little bit, you see that it's Cai Xukun. Your heart flutters at the sight of him, and you blush and smile.

"Morning (y/n)!" he says happily.

"Morning Kunkun," you reply.

"So, I just wanted to ask you, do you have anything planned after school today?" he asks you, leaning one elbow on your locker.

"I-I'm free today," you say softly.

"Good, can you meet me on the school rooftop gardens after school then?" he continued, smiling at you a bit.

"Sure, I can!" you reply, meeting his eyes.

"Okay good, I'll see you there after the last bell then, see you in class," he says with a wink as he strides away.

Rooftop gardens? What does he want to do there? You thought, taking your binders out of your locker carefully. Your thoughts were shaken away from him as Becca called your name.

"(y/n), let's go, we'll be late!" she said impatiently, and you closed your locker and followed.

When you went into the classroom, Xukun was already in his seat, glancing up and smiling at you as you came in. You waved at him and he waved back, and you settled into your seat right next to his. During the period you partnered with him again, and had a lot of fun like always. The day flew by, your classes with Xukun feeling seemingly more memorable. During lunch, he sauntered over and chatted with you a bit, and talks a lot more than usual in your classes too.

Finally arriving at the end of the day, you hear the last bell and say a quick goodbye to your friends. You head for the entrance, but someone gets there first, and you stop to let whoever it is pass. Once they're gone, you excitedly rush to your locker. Stuffing your binders in, you check yourself in your locker mirror quickly, and comb your hair a bit with your fingers. Closing your locker, you head to the lobby and go to the roof stairway. Walking up the few flights of steps, you peer through the entrance. You let out a gasp.

You've never been on the rooftop garden before, and have only been on the roof before it was turned into a garden. You see a beautiful fountain with dense brush surrounding it. Lush plants grow, colourful flowers sprouting out of them, and some have juicy fruits dangling off them. A stone wall stands beside some of the plants. You feel a dark orange fruit that's seemingly ripe, with a few droplets of water dripping off it. You let it go and enjoy the atmosphere.

"(y/n), did you notice me?" a voice says from behind you, and you turn to find Kun. The sunlight falls on his handsome face as he grins, dashing eyes glinting.

"Kun... hello," you say shyly.

"now, why so shy? I invited you here for a reason..." he says, smirking.

"I..."

"so, how are you?" he continues almost casually.

"I..I'm fine," you say cautiously.

"have you been up here before?"

"oh no, or at least I haven't seen the garden before,"

"such a beautiful place, isn't it?"

"y-yeah-"

"beautiful, just like you." Kun cut you off.

You blushed, while staring at him, wondering what his next move would be.

"(y/n), I...I came here to ask you something." he said, raising his gaze.

Really? Is he really going to...

"(y/n), I..."

Is he going to-

"(y/n), I love you."

"d-do you love me back?" his voice wavers on the last part as he looks up hopefully at you.

"I-I love you too." you say without thinking. You see Xukun's eyes light up immediately and he blushes.

"r-really? you...you love me?" he says again, looking deep into your eyes.

"yes. I love you, Cai Xukun." you say more firmly, looking up hopefully at him.

He leans closer, and the last thing you see is his bright, handsome eyes closing before you feel his lips on yours. 

Breaking apart slowly, you look into his eyes, wearing a small smile. The corners of his mouth lift into his usual cute smile.

"I love you, (y/n) (y/l/n)."

"I love you too."
