You're just about to go to bed, when your phone suddenly rings. You pick it up, finding that it's Becca. You accept the call, placing the phone to your ear.
The moment you click, Becca's yell rings out of your phone.
"(Y/N)! COME QUICK! DIANE NEEDS HELP!!"
Your eyes widen in shock.
"BECCA? WHAT'S WRONG?" you say in a panic.
"DIANE'S HOUSE IS ON FIRE!! THE FIREFIGHTERS ARE COMING! HURRY (Y/N)!"
"Okay I'm-I'm on my way-" you say, disbelieving. Throwing your phone in your pocket, you run down the stairs and open the door.
As you run, you hear your heartbeat pound louder and louder in your ears. You check your phone while running to find 50+ messages in your friend group chat. You can see Diane's house ahead, ablaze with flames. You stop within a second. The memories start to rush back. Your brother's screams as he ran out of the house. The last of your cherished house burning to the ground. Your grandmother's last resting place-
You stumble forward, not realizing where you are. The world is spinning as you drop your knees to the ground. Someone runs to you, saying something, but you can hear nothing right now. You unconsciously pick up your phone and dial a number.
