Nothing to Do, Hugo and Skyan

The next week, Sky went out on her date with Ryan. I helped her get ready without drawing the attention of the others. She was really embarrassed and didn't want anyone to find out. She was meeting him in the park near our house.

Once she had left, I went in to the living room. Aisling was telling Diana, Grace and Elise that her brother was getting his tonsils out.

'I thought he got them taken out already, Ais?' Diana asked, puzzled.

'Shut up Di, maybe they grew back!' Elise said seriously.

Everyone burst out laughing.

'What?' Elise asked, hurt.

'Tonsils don't grow back, Elise' Grace said gently.

'They do in the Grinch' Elise replied defensively.

'That was a joke' I laughed. 'Are you guys doing anything today?'

'Well Diana and Aisling are visiting their gran,' Grace started, 'I'm taking a piano class - as in teaching it - and Elise is going somewhere, probably a banana farm' she said, smiling. 'Hey!' Elise blushed.

'Sky's... out,' I said quickly, 'and Hazel and Alison are going all around town, sightseeing, since they haven't been here for so long'

'Meanwhile, I'll be in bed, eating and watching YouTube videos' I said sadly.

Paige sneered from across the room - I hadn't noticed her before - and said 'Like you do everyday?'. I pushed her off the couch.

Rebekah walked in and said 'So what are we doing today?'.

I sighed and said 'You're stuck with me, I'm afraid!'

'Woah, hang on, remember the last time they were home together?' Elise asked nervously. 'The snow'.

Rebekah and I grinned at eachother. 'Won't happen again' I said quickly.

'If it does, I'll claw you' Paige piped up. 'Oh shut up Paige, you weren't even here!' I replied.

'Anyway, there's a Troyler live stream and a Phan fan fiction that need attending to, so...' Rebekah slid out of the room on the feet of her onesie.

'I have nothing to do' I sighed.

'Well, at least Hugo will be back soon' Diana said kindly. 'I'm the same when Harry's gone'.

'Yeah, yeah, Di, tell us all about your amazing boyfriend yet again' Aisling groaned.

'Well -' Diana took a deep breath and opened her mouth to start talking before Elise clamped her hand over it. 'Shut up' she said. 'Thanks Elise' Aisling said.

Hugo was my boyfriend. He was away on a work trip for a month and even though my friends are my favourite people, I'd be lying if I said I didn't miss him. A lot. We'd been dating for almost a year, and he was usually at the house, just like Diana and Hazel's boyfriends were. It's amazing how lonely you can feel, even surrounded by eight friends and your sister.

'Yeah, soon' I smiled. 'Anyway, I'm going back to bed'.

Sky came home and I ran to the door. 'OMFG Sky, how was it?' I screamed.

'Shhh.' she scowled, looking around anxiously. Somehow she had persuaded me not to tell anyone about her date with Ryan (food had been involved) - as far as everyone else knew, she was shopping with her cousin.

'What did you dooo?' I whined.

'He brought me ice skating' she started. 'Wowww, creative' I interrupted sarcastically.

'Hey, you're the one who set me up with him' she glared at me. 'Anyway, as I was saying, he brought me to the rink, but it was really adorable because there was no one else there so we just had it all to ourselves and he helped me skate'

'AWWW' I squealed. 'Dude, can you not?' she hissed. 'Sorry' I muttered.

'Then we went out to dinner and we had -' she stopped as she looked at me waving my hands wildly - no, no, no. 'Yes?' she asked irritably. 'Look, I love food as much as the next person' I started, 'but I want to hear about you and him and if Skyan is a thing'.

'If you mean "did we kiss?" then...' she paused for dramatic effect. 'I guess...' I stared at her, waiting.

'Skyan is a thing' she beamed.

'Eeeeeek!' I screamed. 'Oh. My. God.' I hugged her. 'I feel like a proud mother' I laughed, pretending to wipe a tear from my eye.

'You realise we have to tell everyone now, right?' I grinned. 'Yes, I realise' she said, giving in.

Suddenly, a voice around the corner said 'Well, now you have one down, six to go' and Elise jumped out. For a moment she looked angry, but then she ran to hug Sky.

'Why didn't you tell me?' she asked, pouting.

Sky blushed. 'I don't know, I met him with Lola, and I guess I didn't think the date would work out, so I didn't wanna tell anyone until it was... confirmed?' she hugged Elise. 'I'm sorry'.

Elise smiled. 'No, I'm sorry' she grinned evilly, as she ran in to the living room and screamed 'SKY HAS A BOYFRIEND'.

Divyrocks, I hope it's okay that I used the name Harry for Lil (Diana)'s boyfriend, I couldn't think of anything else. 😂 I can change it if you want.
I gave Hazel a boyfriend cos she has one in real life, and I wanted to have one already because I thought it would be way too awkward describing dates and stuff, so I just skipped all that, hahaha.
