The sun was starting to rise above the horizon, displaying its warm fuzzy colors that would make anyone fall back asleep peacefully, but it wasn't time for resting. Hell, Naruto wasn't even in his bed for more than 2 days. Taking in an hour of rest isn't even possible with how many problems are present right now. And with the endurable yet stabbing pain he was feeling, followed by the rising blood that never appeared, doing so was not exactly achievable. The blonde didn't know why he was in distress, it made no sense whatsoever, but complaining wouldn't do him any good.
"Naruto, are you feeling alright? I know Konoha is only right ahead but if you need to take a break, I'm not against it," Ratorutēru voiced out with concern heavily laced on her tongue. A snake has pretty admirable eyesight, it makes sense Tēru is able to tell Naruto wasn't in good condition.
"No," the twin started. "We must make it to Konoha. This ache is nothing to worry over. As such, it shouldn't stop us from making it to the village," Naruto huffed out. Damn, is the pain doubling? This doesn't make sense at all.
"You didn't hurt yourself on the way here, so why are you in so much distress?"
"If I had an answer to that, I would've said it before you asked."
"Ah... right."Naruto didn't consider all the options he had. The only one that ran laps in his mind was that he should push through the slightly unbearable pain and make it back to his home village. No point resting now if he's so close to his goal. If he were to outstretch his arm and hold out his hand, though it wouldn't be physical, the blonde would definitely feel Konoha in the palm of his hand.
"Let's go," Naruto huffed out. "We are only delaying time by standing around. It would approximately take us 15 minutes before we reach the gates."
Ratorutēru held a worried expression upon her face but complied nonetheless. "Alright then. Let's sort this out now."
Indeed, let's sort it out.
Tick-tock: 15 minutes remain
Naruraki was on his knees as he continued to stare empty-mindedly. His shaky hand remained in its same location on his hip side. A small pool of blood, only the size of a baby duckling, formed right in front of him which came from his open mouth. And just like his hand, his eyes were swaying in place at a high speed too. But it didn't take long for him to snap out of it. Heiwa and Osore floated close to him before fading away completely. Entering his body.
Tick-tock: 14 minutes remain
The twin gritted his teeth as he desperately tried to stand up on his wobbly legs and unstable feet that made him swing side to side.
"Now I've gone and done it... Naruto is probably feeling this pain as well."
"Naruto?"The unexpecting voice made Naruraki whip around instantaneously as he got on the defense. Not like he was exactly able to stand his ground like he wanted to due to his unfightable state. The blonde was only able to release some of his tension when he saw Neji's face, along with the rest of his friends. But something, the wild thought at the back of his head, only made him think that they were going to make him talk and speak about the chamber.
Tick-tock: 13 minutes remain
"What a-are all of you d-doing here...? Y-you shouldn't be h-here, ugh!"
"You're hurt! Can't we at least help you?"
"No! Just g-get, *cough* out of here..."
