The Fallen Façade

First Misson Pt.2

Naruto, Sakura, and Sasuke made their way towards the gates of Konohagakure and once crossing the line, they will officially be set on the mission. And there waiting for them was the client Tazuna the Bridge Builder and Kakashi-Sensei.

"Ah, there you three are. Have you finish packing your necessary stuff," The silver haired sensei asked as he jumped down from where he was perched on the gates of Konoha. It was a mystery how and when he got up there, but a shinobi has their ways of everything.

"Yea. Kunais, bandages in case of any minor or big injuries, clothes since I expect this to last a couple of days, and other things," Naruto answered as bump up his bag to show where everything was. "So we might as well commence the mission, yea?"

"Hmm, agreed. Alrighty then guys, take some lessons out of this while we get our client safely to his land, alright?"
"Sure."
"This'll be fun!"
"Hn."

Without any other word uttered, the group started up their heels, and set off for the Land of Waves. Which, was much further than Naruto remembered when he checked his distance between where he stood, and where the Land of Waves actually was located.

There was simple idle chit chat and small talks on the only walk to the bridge builder's home land. Naruto led the way as he held a fairly large map in his hands as he tried desperately to figure out if he was still going the right direction with how many landmarks and other small towns/villages were everywhere. Sasuke stood next to him as to help point out almost everything on the map since apparently -and surprisingly to Naruto's knowledge- he was familiar with them the most. Sakura stood next to Tazuna and asked questions about the Land of Waves, or mostly known as the Village Hidden in the Mist.

"So, how is it in the Land of Water? It's probably very nice and colorful right? Right?"
"I'd like to say that, but that's the complete opposite of what it actually is like."
"No wonder why they say don't judge a book by it's cover. The most saddest sounding things always turns out to be the happiest, and the happiest turns out to be the saddest."
"Never before have I been so offended by something I 100% agree with."
"Haha! Looks like the Hidden Mist Village hasn't changed ever since my last visit."

The group turned to look at the stunned Naruto who's face -that they couldn't see since they were behind him- was beet red from accidentally letting such information slip right out of his mouth. It wasn't every day that the blond spouted out things so recklessly in front of others when in a state of resting.

'I'm losing my touch and grasp of things. Since when did I-'

A clearly aimed shot dart. Naruto's eyes widened in pure utter shock and terror as he felt something agonizing painful course throughout his body. All Sasuke, Sakura, and the bridge builder Tazuna could do was watch in horror as the young blond collapsed onto his knees before finally falling to the ground unconscious.

"W-What was that??!"
"Tsk, who's there?!"
"I knew this was a bad idea, I knew this was a bad idea!!"

Kakashi jumped down from his spot in a tree and quickly went over to Naruto to check what had happened to him. The silver haired sensei pulled out a dart from the blond's neck and examined the needly sharp point of it that was stained by the victim's blood.

"What happened to Naruto Kakashi-Sensei?!"
"He's... been poisoned. I have no clue what type this is at all... I don't have a keen perception of if he'll survive this..."
"What nonsense are you uttering you insolent being? If you think a measly poison would harm my other half, then I should knock some sense into you."

All the worried and stressed out faces of the ones before the person who spoke, looked up in pure and utter disbelief and shock. There stood with his arms crossed and blood red eyes, was Naruto. The same exact one as the one that unconscious on the floor.
