Skyler

I decide to wait for Ty inside the facility. Area 57.

Some people nod at me since they recognize me now. I've been coming more and more lately. And every time I join Ty, my heart flies when he smiles. He loves it that I'm part of his secret. The load isn't so heavy anymore...

So I wait outside the Airline Base. A red-headed girl comes out of the sliding doors and her dark blue eyes immediately recognize me. She gives me a smile that makes her beautiful and says, "Hey. Skyler, right?"

I nod with a smile and shake her hand. "You must be Indie."

"Correct," she says. Her smile becomes smaller now; making her grow back to her seriousness. "You're new to this place?"

"Yeah, but I come with Ty so I don't really get lost around here."

"Huh. Really? So the relationship with you and Ty isn't a lie?" A hint of a teasing smirk starts at her lips and I chuckle.

Just then, the doors slide open and out comes the same young man that walks with her a lot. She gives him a small smile and says, "I'll meet up with you in a little. I'm just going to take a shower." He gives her a firm nod, but just like Indie, his smile makes him handsome. His walk is bold due to his broad shoulders, and he barely talks to anyone as he makes his way towards the showers.

"Well," I say as I look back at Indie. "I don't want to stop you from taking a shower. It was nice meeting you, Indie."

"Likewise." She gives me one last smile before walking away. The last image of her is that reckless shine in her blue eyes.

My eyes wonder once again to this huge place. Men and women in neat uniforms walk around. The guards are those that rarely make conversation with others. Their seriousness sends intimidation to the people that walk around them. I still can't believe that a whole different world can live underneath our feet.

I watch as a girl walks out of a room. In fact, it seems as if she's the only person that would fit in there, but others come out right after her. I watch as the wall from where she walked out of turns into pixels before closing off again.

Curiosity makes my feet start towards this neon wall. I look back and see that Ty has not yet to come out, so with more confidence I step up to this wall. People don't seem to notice me at all as I cautiously touch the wall.

Almost immediately, the pixels open the wall and I step in a small room. There's a boy in here. His face glows from whatever tech is on his tall desk. He looks up and gives me a wide smile.

"Hello. Do you need anything?" His dark eyes immediately observe my outfit and a shine of suspicion runs through his expression. "I'm sorry but I'm going to ask to see your badge or identification."

"Oh, right," I say as I take out my wrist. Because I am not officially part of this facility yet, Ty taught me to always put my wrist under a section for newbies. A bracelet is mechanically put on your wrist after installing your fingerprint and the identification from your eye. It was quite impressive as the machine did all of this for me.

The boy runs a small oval key over my wrist and goes back to his device. His brows are furrowed as he runs through my profile. The day I put in my fingerprint, all the possible resources that carry my information has been transferred here. This is what the boy is probably seeing now. My heart beats quick at the thought of his eyes looking through my life, but then he smiles at me and nods. "I'm sorry. It's just procedure."

"It's alright," I say with a nervous chuckle. "Um. What is this place?" I look around to see several doors around the bright room. There are even small pods where figures of a person inside the pod shines. "It's beautiful."
