"Seonghwa, sweetie, are you ready?" Mrs. Park called from the kitchen as she and Mr. Park lifted the turkey towards the center of the dinning table and set it down. Seonghwa adjusted his classic collar and his tie, brushing his hands against his black buttoned shirt to straighten out any wrinkles one last time as he checked himself out in front of his mirror.

He took a deep breath in and sighed rather loudly. Today was the day. Today would be the day he grew the courage to open up. Today was the perfect day, he just felt it the minute he opened his eyes that morning.

He slipped on his black oxford docs before he slowly made his way down towards the dinning room area, immediately getting hit with the smells of pumpkin spice and cinnamon. He expected to see the usual three to four chairs maximum surrounding the rectangular table, but much to his surprise, the table had been expanded. A couple more chairs, plates, forks, and under essentials had been added along. Seonghwa furrowed his eyebrows, quickly looking over to meet eyes with one of his parents in search of an explanation.

Mrs. Park met those eyes and with a smile she explained, "Oh, we forgot to tell you." She shook her head as she plopped a hand on her forehead. Seonghwa nodded along. "We decided to invite your godfather and his family to have thanksgiving dinner with us. Luckily, they didn't have any plans so they'll be arriving any minute now." Mrs. Park grinned and was soon on her way to go readjust her hair.

Seonghwa threw his hands up in the air as he fell backwards into the couch. Thanks to his parents' overloading kindness, his plan was ruined. But for the record, none of Seonghwa's plans ever worked out.

"Hey, watch the suit, my boy. You look pretty decent today," Mr. Park came up from behind the couch, smacking one of Seonghwa's feet off the armrest. Seonghwa took his other foot off the armrest and sat properly.

"I tried," Seonghwa chuckled, combing back his hair. Mr. Park walked over towards his son and began to ruffle out his hair, the blonde haired boy immediately shot his arms up and tried to push his father away without hurting him. "I took hours trying to fix that!" Seonghwa whined.

"Do you plan on dyeing it again?" Mr. Park ran his fingers through the mop of hair one last time before he went and sat on his own couch.

Seonghwa tried his best to make his hair look presentable before giving up and sighing, "Maybe. I'm thinking black or red," he shrugged.

"Red wouldn't be so bad. But I personally think black would look better on you." The bell rand and Mr. Park winked at his son before standing up to answer the door. "Coming!" He yelled.

"Good evening, Mr. and Mrs. Kim, good to see you all." Mr. Park greeted as soon as the door opened, stepping to the side to let the family in.

"Good evening to all of you as well, how are all you guys doing?" Mr. Kim grinned widely as he entered the house, removing his shoes. Mrs. Kim followed his actions, greeting Mrs. Park who had just returned from her room and handing her the tray of potato salad she had made at home. Before the Kims could introduce their children, the two twin boys rushed into the house after having thrown their shoes and socks off, leaving an embarrassed older brother behind, face palming and shaking his head.

"I hope all of you are really hungry because we made quite a lot this year," Mrs. Park laughed as they all sat down at the dinning table, both fathers at opposite ends of the table, their wives to their left next to them, and each twin sat next to a different mother as the two eldest were to sit in the middle. Everyone nodded and smiled along with Mrs. Park.

Seonghwa finally decided to stop filling his head with nonsense and stood up from the couch to properly greet his godparents. He shook hands with them as they hugged him and gave him odd pats on the back as if he had accomplished something. What did he accomplish? Being the biggest moron in the world?
