Valentine's son. I don't really have any logic to explain this theory. They did chop off his hand, stab him, and throw his body in a river, but I just have a sense that he is still out there and has something to do with this. Although, he might have brought back by some other greater force. A demon, perhaps, but not just any ordinary demon can raise the dead. This has to be some kind of monstrosity, a demon with an unaccountable amount of power. A Greater Demon. The question is which Greater demon is responsible for this madness? I have to investigate this further.
I made my way to the institute to find information from their gigantic library. It seems that they have every book imaginable: regular mundane fantasies, history of Shadowhunters, and -- most importantly-- everything known about demons. I found a book called Greater Demons: The Mysteries of the Underworld. That sounded like it could be in some use to me. I read and read this book cover to cover for hours untill I finally found what I needed. Apperently, Greater Demons -- especially the oldest ones-- can make their way into someone's mind if they do not have the protection that was put on them at birth. Since Jace was reborn, his proetection was stripped away. Some Greater Demon was able to manipulate its way into Jace's mind and basically make him go crazy. I am about to walk out of the room when I hear a familliar voice behind me. "Well, look who it is! Hello Clarissa, my beloved sister."
