(Jace's POV)
I walk down the filthy streets of New York while continuously thinking about my occurrences with Sebastian. I take out my phone and decide to text Clary. Hey, meet me outside the institute at 3:30 I want to talk to you. She replied a few seconds later, Okay, see you there. I need to talk to her about my behavior lately. Because of this enchantment thing, I have been kinda avoiding Clary and the rest of the posse. But I think I have waited long enough, and its time to tell her the truth.I suddenly feel a strange impulse to go somewhere, against my own will. My feet drag along the street as I move toward this unknown destination. Sebastian, I think with a disgusted tone, This must be his doing. I end up at an unfinished apartment building complex in Brooklyn. The pulsing in my chest forced me to go forward, to the mysterious location. The inside of the building looks like it hasen't been entered in years. The walls were covered with dust and spider webs; grime and mold filled the corners. The place felt oddly distant and lonely. It seemed like a fairly normal place, so why was I drawn to it? I turn the corner into the next room and suddenly see why I was loured here. The room was full of decent-sized pedistoles, and on each of those pedistoles was a dead baby. A possesed dead baby with black eyes and claws for fingers. Just like the baby at Talto! I thought witha sense of realization. If there are possesed beings here as well as at Talto, then this must be Sebastian's work. Right as I finished my thought I saw a flash of white blond hair. A hand then rested on my shoulder.
"Oh, dear brother, do you ever learn?" I felt a jolt of pain, my legs weakened, and I crumbled to the ground.

(Clary's POV)
I stand on the steps of the Institute. Jace was supposed to meet me here 10 minutes ago. Well then again, I thought, he is Jace. He'll be here soon.
After an hour of waiting on the cold Institute steps, I called Jace. He answered on the first ring.
"Hey Jace, where are you? I've been waiting for over an hour!"
"Well you will just have to keep waiting then, dear sister."
"Sebastian?" I say with a surprised tone, "How do you have Jace's phone?" Then a spark of realization hit me. "What did you do to Jace?"
He responded in a cold tone, "Don't worry Clarissa, he is good hands with me. He will sit next to me in my throne and help rule my kingdom. I asked if you wanted to join me, sister, but you refused. So, instead, I recruited Jace, maybe not under his own will, but nonetheless, he is mine now, Clarissa."
And with that, he hung up. I stuffed my phone in my pocket and ran straight to Magnus's apartment where everyone was still researching. As soon as I arrived, I bust through the door with a worried expression.
"Clary, what is it?" Simon asked.
"Jace is missing, and Sebastian has him!"
