I pick up the note from the floor and start running as fast as my body will allow. I made my way to Magnus's apartment. Everyone -- except Jace-- is meeting to discuss Jace's abnormal activities. I told everyone I would be a little late because I had to study, when really, studying was the furthest thing from my mind. When I arrived at Magnus's place, everyone was seated around a circular table, drinking coffee and looking miserable. We had to meet early in the day due to constant Clave meetings so everyone was fairly tired. I opened the door and eyes immediately flickered in my direction.
"Well, someone's flustered. What happened, biscuit? Got chased by a colony of squirrels?" Magnus stated matter-of factly.
"Actually, no. I have some very urgent news. And you're not going to like it."
Everyone suddenly sat up and looked my direction. I sat down and took out the note from Sebastian.
"Sebastian's soul came and visited me when I was at the Institute this morning. He told me he planned to come back to this world, even stronger and more powerful than before. He said there will be a great war. Blood will fill the streets and towers will be made of bone. And he asked me to join him -- of course I said no-- and he just vanished! When he was gone, he left me this note."
I held the note out to everyone. Once they all read it, they sucked in their breath.
"Erchomai. What does that mean? I do not take Latin." Simon asked.
"Erchomai. I am coming." said Alec worriedly "Whatever this is, it can't be good."
"No kidding. I have 5 seasons of America's Top Model that I still haven't watched! And if the world ends, I'll never get to see what happens to Jennifer and Chad!" stated Magnus with a sly grin.
"More importantly," Isabelle flashed her eyes in Magnus's direction and said in and agitated tone, "The fate of lives -- ours as well as others-- are at stake. We need to tell the Clave right away. They can take care of this"
"NO! We can NOT tell the Clave. That's the one thing I do know. Sebastian, or what's left of him, told me the Clave is not prepared for the kind of battle he is bringing. If the Clave fights Sebastian, it might mean the end of Shadowhunters."
"Well, we just have to handle this ourselves, then." Jordan announced.
"We will do whatever we can to help you Nephilim, to protect your kind and ours." said Maia hopefully.
"Alright!" Alec stated, "Time to get to work!"
