Chapter 2

Lara's POV

I wake up the next morning with no jumping Etho which was a start.😂

But then it hits me. Today's the day. School. First day of a new school in fact.

I checked the time as always and its 6:45am. School starts at 8:00am so I have a while.

I dressed in my new school uniform, a simple white shirt with sleeves that reach just your elbows and a plaited skirt. It wasn't that bad. My old schools one was horrible! Eh!

I put on a little make up: concealer, mascara and eyeliner. I wasn't really fond of make up unless it was a special occasion but I'm not one of those girls who are hugely popular and pretty wearing full on make up. Ew.

So then once I've done all my stuff I walked downstairs. "Good morning" I said.

No reply.

"Helloooo?" I said a bit confused.

I shrugged. So then I walked into the kitchen to get some breakfast and found a note on the kitchen bench next to some freshly looking made pancakes. Ooh yum!

I immediately say myself down and started to scoff my pancakes up.

Then I read the note, it said:

Dear Lara,
I left to school early because apperantly i needed to be there earlier to tryout for the guitar lesson. I don't know why it was on the first day of school but ah well.
Mum has left for a job interview.
Really sorry I couldn't walk with u to school today. To make up for it, I made you these pancakes that you're probably gobbling up right now knowing you😂 anyway hope u forgive me, I'll see u at school!

"Oh." Eh! I still got the pancakes and that's what matters! I thought grinning.

Looking up, I saw the clock reading 7:10am so I'm still a bit early to go to school. But actually I might as well. I have to walk anyway so that probably takes a while. Mum showed me the way yesterday so I think I'm fine with that.

So I grabbed my bag and headed out the door.

As I was on my way, I slammed in to some guy cause I was looking down at my phone.

"Hey watch whe-LARA?!"

No no this can't be happening, right in front of me stood the one and only, Isaac. You see, he was my ex...

"Umm" I said then I just hurried past him because I didn't know what to do. I was feeling so many emotions right now. Anger, pain, sadness.

"Wait Lara please!" He shouted from behind me as I heard him quickly catch up to me. What was he even doing here? He's suppose to be back in Perth!

"Go away Isaac!" I said to him.

Why do I not want to speak with him right now? Well I'll tell you the story:

So back in Perth, me and Isaac were a happy couple, loved each other so much and all. But then one day I found him kissing another girl, behind the school buildings.
And of course like any other girl in this situation I got really mad. I just went home without saying a word to him. That's when my mum told me we were moving, I was so happy to get away from him. I told my old best friend Bailee back at Perth to tell him when I'm gone that I saw what he did and that we are over. So yeah, here I am now and with the number one problem in my life.

"Cmon please I need to talk to you" isaac said.

"NO! Like I said, GO AWAY!" I said back.

He pulled on my arm and stood me infront of him. I'm not even crying over him, it's not worth it. I felt heartbroken and lost.

We started arguing with each other then it got to shouting...then...all I remember was seeing a fist hurling at me fast then I was knocked back to the ground.

I could feel nothing. Then I heard a voice from a boy around our age running towards us screaming "LET HER GO!" And "DONT DO THAT AGAIN!" I then saw Isaac throw a punch at this boy that was trying to save me but he dodged it and punched Isaac back in the stomach.

Then everything went black.
