Zachary inhaled. 'I hope he forgives me.' He thought to himself. Then, he knocked. Mrs. Collins opened the door. "Can I help you- Oh. Mr. Pines! Please come in." Ms. Collins greeted. "So, what brings you here." She asked. "I wanted to talk to your son, Nathan." Zachary said with a sigh. "Hmm. I guess you could. He's upstairs. The second door to the right. You're welcome to stay the night. I'm sure Nathan wouldn't mind." She instructed. "Thank you." Zachary said.
Nathan still had his face in his pillow. Zachary knocked. "Hey, Nathan." he said. "What do you want?" Nathan sniffed. Zachary sat on the chair infront of Nathan. "Look, I'm sorry for pushing you to the handle. How else was I suppose to move you away?" Zachary asked. "Uhm. I don't know. Maybe if you didn't move me in the first place and moved yourself." Nathan said. Zachary shrugged. "Don't cry." he said, wiping Nathan's tears. "Don't touch me." Nathan said pushing Zachary's hand away. Zachary looked down. "Listen I broke up with Brittany today."
"Why should I care?"
"Because I'm-"
Zachary leaned and softly pressed his lips on Nathan's. Nathan froze. His face was red. So was Zachary's. "Yeah I thought you were pretty cute too." Zachary said rubbing his head nervously. "Thank you." Nathan said. He then pulled Zachary on the bed. They cuddled until Nathan fell asleep.Mrs. Collins then walked in. He waved at Zachary in a motion meaning to come. Zachary kissed Nathan's cheek and got up. "Yes, Mrs. Collins?" Zachary asked. "I just wanted to thank you for bringing joy into my son. He's never smiled like that before. You really make him happy." she said. "We trust that you'll always be the best thing he has. We really care a lot about him and I'm sure you do too." Mr. Collins replied. "Don't worry Mr and Mrs. Collins. I think this love that we have will last forever. I know I don't know a lot about him, but I'm sure it's amazing." Zachary answered with a smile. He went back to Nathan's bed. "Goodnight my love." Zachary said holding Nathan.
The next day, They both woke up at the same time. Afterwards they are and got onto the bus together. "Aren't you afraid of everyone knowing that we're together?" Nathan asked. "I don't care. If they aren't going to accept us then why should I accept them?" Zachary replied.
Once they both walked into their first period, everyone started giving them weird faces. "So that's the guy who dumped Brittany for a gay homo." A random guy said. "Brittany was right. The gay guy does look transgender." A girl said. Everyone laughed while pointing at Nathan. Nathan put his face down and walked to his chair. Everyone threw paper airplanes and spit on him. "STOP!" Zachary yelled. "Enough with the name calling and the unnecessary spitting. You're acting like a bunch of fangirls when a hater uses a thumbs down emoji on one of Justin Bieber's posts. Apparently there are some other gay people here that I didn't even know were gay. Which I doubt that you all did either. Why can't you accept people!" Zachary yelled. "If he wasn't transgender then maybe we would." A boy named Mike said. "Shut the fuck up Mike." Zachary snapped. "Why? It's the truth. Either that or he's just an actual girl acting like a tomboy." Mike laughed. So did the whole class. Nathan out his head down. "Oh you're dead." Zachary threatened. He jumped on Mike's desk and punched him in the eye. Mike slapped Zachary's cheek. They continued to fight. "THAT'S ENOUGH!" Mr. Shin yelled. BOTH OF YOU IN PRINCIPAL FRANKLINS OFFICE. NOW! YOU TOO MR. COLLINS!"
All three of them walked into the office. "So the three of you guys were fighting?!" Principal Franklin asked. "Actually I wasn't part of this. I was just-" "Shut the fuck up Natalie." Mike interrupted Nathan. "HEY! Watch your mouth!" The principal said. "Sorry. It's just that Nathan here punched me in the face. He was so mad that Zachary here, didn't love him so he attacked me while I was quietly studying." Mike lied. "I expected more from the both of you. Especially you Mr. Collins." "You've got to be kidding me." Nathan replied while rolling his eyes. "For the next two days il be seeing the both of you in detention." The principal said. "He's LIEING. This kid had been LIEING since the day he could talk." Zachary yelled. "Really! Because it sounds like you're both lieing to me." said the principal. "Now get out!"
They walked back into social studies. Everyone laughed when they walked in. Mike smirked. Nathan hid his face. Zachary rolled his eyes. The bell rang and it was time for the 15 minute break. Nathan, Johnny, Lucas, and Zachary sat together. "I can't believe he got away with that crap." Lucas said. "I saw it coming anyways. He's always hated me. Mike is like a god to him." Zachary sighed. "Honestly, why did he drag Nathan along? He never even said anything?" Johnny replied. "I know right." Nathan answered. Then the bell rang.
* Skips through classes Math, Science, and English *
Nathan and Zachary walked home together. Holding hands. "I hope your parents won't get pissed from what happened in first period." Zachary said. "Me too. You're coming right?" Nathan asked. "Yes. Why?" Zachary laughed. "I need a buff protector. They could yell their heads off and I need someone to hide behind." Nathan giggled. "Aww." Zachary replied. They opened the door and Nathan's parents were sitting by the table infront of the door, looking as if they were waiting forever for them to come home. "Welcome home. Care to explain the phone call I got 30 minutes ago?" Mr. Collins said. "This is the part where I hide behind you." Nathan whispered while shifting behind Zachary. "Heh, well, I punched a guy in the face." Zachary admitted. "It wasn't my fault. He lied and said that Nathan punched him in the face. But the principal dragged Nathan along anyways." "Was there a reason for you punching "him" in the face?" Mrs. Collins asked. "Yes. Well, it wasn't just Mike I wanted to punch. I would have punched the whole class. If you were in a room and saw someone you loved being made fun of and for no good reason spit on by the whole class, would you just stand there." Zachary said. "Loved?" Nathan blushed. Zachary hid face. "Yeah. "Loved." Zachary said. "Aww. That was very sweet Zachary. Thank you for sticking up for him." Mrs. Collins admired. "Now get to the books, you crazy kids." Mr. Collins teased.
They both went upstairs. Did their homework, and layed awake in bed. "Zac. Did you really mean "loved" when you were talking about the bullying thing?" Nathan asked. Zachary kissed Nathan's lips. "Yes I did." Zachary replied. Zachary cuddled Nathan as if Nathan was a teddy bear. "I'd do anything for my little teddy bear." Zachary said. "Goodnight babe." Nathan said. "Night." Zachary answered.
