Logan had a problem. He had a crush on his internet friend. Patton. He didn't know what to do.

He'd told Patton, and Patton had said he liked him as well, but they didn't want to make anything official until they could see each other in person.

The school dance was coming up and his parents were pressuring him to get a date. He didn't want to get a date because he really liked Patton, and to explain that after going to the dance with someone, he didn't want to have any romantic ties would be annoying.

He heard a buzz from his phone. He pulled it out. It was Patton.

Hey, Lo.

Hello, Patton.

I was just wondering if your school was having a dance too

Yes, It is.
My parents are trying to get me to get a date, but I don't want to explain, 'hey, I have this internet friend who is kind of my boyfriend, but not yet, and I don't want to have any romantic ties to you, even though I asked you here.'

May 3rd.

Probably just a button up shirt and the tie I wear all the time.

I'm probably gonna find a pretty dress.

Logan turned off his phone and went back to class.

See, Logan lives in New York City, while Patton lived in Los Angelos. Across the country. Patton wasn't at school yet though.

"Mom? Would you mind maybe letting us go to New York in a few weeks?" He asked.

"I mean, money's kinda tight right now, honey."

"I know. I've been saving up. You know how I told you about Logan? Well, I really want to surprise him at his school dance."

"Well.... alright honey. I'll talk to your Mama about it when she gets home."

"Thanks Mom!" He said.

"Now get ready for school, mister."

Soon, those few weeks past. Patton has arranged to stay with one of Logan's friends, Virgil. He and Virgil were also online friends. He had just got to Virgil's apartment. He knocked.
