Logan straightened his tie and suit. He put on the mask he was told to wear, as it was a masquerade ball.

"Your highness?" Said a voice outside his door. "You have a visitor, sir."

He walked over to the door and saw a boy in a red dress and red mask. The dress was floor length and poofy. It was very sparkly and was strapless. It was his best friend Roman.

"Bestieee!" Roman cried and hugged him.

"Hello, Roman. You look very nice."

"You do too! Are you ready to meet some high quality singles?"

"You sound like my mother."

"Your mother is right then. Let's go down, people are there."

Roman was also Royal, but he lived in the kingdom next to his. They walked down to the ballroom, and opened the door. They walked in.

Logan and Roman were immediately swarmed by girls, nobles and royals. Roman loved the attention, to quote him, 'Attention from a pretty person is nice, I don't care about gender.' Logan preferred boys, himself, and any attention was almost too much for him, he didn't like it much. Roman was an extrovert, while he was introverted. They were almost as different as they could be, but still ended up being really good friends.

Logan needed to get away. "Roman, I'm going to try and find the food if you need me." He whispered and made his way out of the crowd.

"Hello, your highness." Said a boy when he walked into the dining area. He was wearing a black suit with a yellow undershirt, a black tie, and a black bowler hat. One of his eyes was a chocolate brown, while the other was a bright yellow.

"You don't have to call me your highness. It seems too proper. I'd prefer if you just call me Logan." He said. "I've never seen you before, what might I call you?"

"Janus Deceit at your service." The boy said, bowing and kissing his hand. Logan's face heated slightly, but his mask hid it.

"Pleasure to meet you Janus."

"As for the never seeing me before, that would be because my family recently moved here from the Moon Kingdom."

"I've heard it's very pretty there."

"Oh it is. I much prefer here though. The stars are very nice."

"I would ask for a dance, but I did come in here to get away from the crowds." Logan said.

"Ah, well, would we maybe like to go see the stars? I've heard you know constellations, and I do love to learn more mythology."

"Of course. I know the perfect spot. Though we may need to come back rather soon, my parents may not be very happy I left another ball. They would very much like it if I found a girlfriend, though I have stated multiple times I am not interested in girls."

"That does sound rather irritating."

"If a boy wearing a red dress comes out, don't be bothered, he's my friend Roman, he likes to bug me about getting a boyfriend, so if he says anything unintelligent, don't mind him." Logan explained. Roman was the only one who new about his star gazing spot, and if he saw Logan leaving with a guy, he'd immediately think they were dating.
