A/N:

Welcome to the first fanfic I've ever written! Sorry if you think it's cliché, but I'm still learning. I can't wait for you to read this! I hope you enjoy it, and keep reading if you do!

Edited: Hey everybody! Thanks so much for reading! Please remember that I did write this when I was very young, so it will not by any means be a work of art. I'm still trying to work out the kinks. So please, no hateful or rude comments. It's like Harry says; treat people with kindness. With that in mind, please enjoy!

*Rachel's POV*

"Rachel!" Mum yells. "I need that last box moved out of your brother's room. Now get a move on!"

I groan, and pick up the heavy box of clothes.

It's been six months since my brother auditioned for 'The Xfactor', a reality TV show similar to 'Britain's Got Talent.' He auditioned a few years ago and didn't make it through, but after working hard to improve his voice, he gave it another go.

Everyone had thought that he had been cut from the second round of the competition, but then my brother called us to tell us he'd somehow been paired up with four other strangers and had the opportunity to be part of a new boy band. He and his new band placed third on the show as well, and since then, they've completely blown up. Of course, I always knew Liam would become famous. Growing up, no one believed in him more than I did.

When he first auditioned, I really thought Liam was going to make it on his own as a solo artist. Everyone could see that he had talent. The entire town was watching, hoping for him to make it. But when Li got cut during the third round of the show, at the judge's houses, no one could believe it. Liam came home absolutely distraught, and he wanted to give up. Of course, I said no way. So what if he was told he wasn't ready yet? He'd just needed to work at it a bit more.

So, Li trained his voice everyday, working with private teachers, singing karaoke, performing at weddings, hell you name it, he did it. The boy was determined, I'll give him that. He went back on the show with all the confidence he needed and made it again.

Naturally, the town was rooting for him yet again. So when Liam got cut only in the second round this time, everyone really thought his career with 'The X Factor' was over. Then he got paired up with those other boys. That's when everything started blowing up. Liam and his new group of singing besties were all anyone could talk about. Of course, they were all talented, so it was obvious they'd sound good together.

However, while things were going well for Liam and his newfound friends, he seemed to forget about one thing: me.

It started out great; Li and I would text every single day, even if it was to just say "what's up?". We'd fill each other in on how our lives were going; he'd complain about his new band mates, or someone on the show, and I'd tell him all the juicy gossip from school. We'd send long emails to each other describing how our days went in detail, simply because we missed one another. But bit by bit, Liam began to reply less and less. Then one day, he just stopped all together.

I couldn't figure out why; had I said something that hurt Li's feelings? I looked through our emails and texts, trying to find something I could have said to offend him. Nothing came up. My mind raced with why my brother didn't feel the need to talk to me anymore. Maybe I'm just less important to him now that he's this big star. Maybe his little band is more important than I'll ever be.

After Liam and his band got second runner up in the competition, they took all the placing acts on a short tour around the UK. Still, I got nothing from Liam. After that, the band produced an entire album, labeled 'Up All Night'. Things really blew up for them there. The album was (and still is) everywhere! I can't get into a single car these days without hearing my brother's voice blaring in my ears.
