I SERIOUSLY need to stop making lame jokes in between chapters. Ugh. So only Bertholdt's POV is shown in this chapter. Hopefully you guys enjoy and that Mikasa's input jot being here isn't such a big bummer. Most likely a one time thing.

~Bertholdt's POV~

"Eek!"

"Haha"

"Bertholdt do that again and I'll have to cut those hands off!"

It was so much fun tickling her off guard. Who knew Ackerman was ticklish eh?

"Then I'll turn into it and tickle you forever!"

"Bertholddttt! I'm cooking okay! Auf widerstehen! Tschüss!"

"Finnneeee." I whined.

She giggled and I walked away

"Eeek! That's it!"

I tried to run until she threw lettuce rinds in my face.

"Haha I Still love you!"

"Whatever haha. Any who. . .on a more serious note." Mikasa abruptly stopped mid sentence. "Uh. . .never mind . . .just please take out the bowls."

"Uhm? Okay sure. . .?" I obeyed. Why is she acting so off now? Is she okay, she clearly wanted to say something else. . .maybe it's not so bad. I probably shouldn't think too much into it.

After half an hour she finished the food and I cut us some bread for the soup.

"Mikasa."

"Hmm? Yes?"

"Take your soup up."

"Huh?" She tilted her head. "Why?"

"Just do it."

"Okayyy. . ?"

I took her free hand and walked her up through the second and third floor, then up the attic.

"Why are we here?"

"Do you trust me?" I asked.

She looked at me and nodded.

"Okay, put your soup down. And close your eyes."

She was quiet and did so. I took her hand and lead her up the attic stairs onto the roof.

"Ready?" I asked.

"Wait what? Ready for wha--aahhh!"

I tossed her onto a huge pile of hay on the roof.

"Open!"

Mikasa was breathing quickly and heavily.

"Dudeee! I thought I was going to die!"

"I would never let that happen, especially not to you. Haha"

"That's not funny!" Mikasa protested and shoved my shoulder.

"Okay whatever." I sang. "I'll get our dinner." I paused as I got to the hatch of the opening, just to see if she would notice the purpose of me bringing her up here.
