Seventeen

~Mikasa'sPOV~

"ERENNN!!" I cried out joyously. I can't believe it, Armin was right (as usual), Eren was being used as a scout!

"Mikasa!" I faintly heard Eren yell back to me.

My steed carried me closer but Levi stopped sideways on his horse right in front of my way. I slowed my horse down with even more resentment towards the tiny evil man who hurt and humiliated my brother!

He had a placid and unamused look on his face, nothing new eh.

"No one is allowed near Eren for the time being, your job right now is to tell me what in the world happened to have caused this!" Levi commanded. I grit my teeth and tightly squeezed the reins in order to calm myself down.

"That's an order brat!"

"Well, Levi Hiechou. . . that titan you see there, the one who's brought all of humanity a grim reminder, is indeed. . ." I didn't say anymore, I couldn't bring myself to do it. I looked down at the floor.

"Indeed a what?! Tch, and your'e in the top ten of this measly 104th cadet regiment, you can't even speak " Levi snidely remarked.

I looked up and gripped the reins, this guy is sure annoying, and finally said:

"He's a titan shifter." Firmly enough for him to get the point that I just want to leave his presence.

The entire world muted for a while when I heard and felt the Earth rumbling; it was him, coming for me. I looked back with a nervous sweat accumulating on my forehead, and it was sure as anything to be Bertholdt. My heart was rising and dropping slowly with every step.

There were faints screams. He was getting closer and I oddly couldn't find it in me to move. Everything flooded back in me when my horse started to neigh and clack it's beautiful hooves on the ground.

My heart dropped and I felt my breath highly hitch as he approached more and more.

"Come on Ackerman!" Levi yelled from afar. "Unless you want to be the colossal's next meal, you better get a move on!"

I finally looked away and grabbed the reins.

"Hyiah!" I yelled out to the horse and snapped the reins.

Funny thing is, I was running away from love, and ever being with anyone: especially Bertholdt. . .but now that I had him, I'm running away from him when I really want to run towards him.

Nonetheless, I pushed those emotions aside and continued into the woods. I felt his thunderous steps move closer and closer to us.

"Here!" Levi yelled to me as some type of string was thrown to me. It was a leather piece to tether me to his horse, in case my steed is hurt or whatever. I threw it back, i don't need that short man's help.

Before I knew it, the inevitable happened as I was grabbed up into the air. I couldn't hear anything except my heart beat. I was hitting his fingers with all my strength, but nothing worked, he wouldn't budge.

I was being lifted through the clouds and my breath hitched to the air pressure. And then stop. I felt him turn me around dramatically, and there he was.

I sharply exhaled.

All the sound returned.

That's it. I'm going to die.
