~MIKASA'S POV~

I'm so angry I could just murder Levi Heichou. Why the hell did he need to hurt and humiliate Eren like that ?! I'm just going to try and let this go and hope a meal and good nap will help me to release my stress.

Bertholdt held me back, and also held my hand. . . I mean like a couple-y way. I guess he's someone I would go out with but maybe after this is all over and no one will have to really worry about the titans anymore ever again. Hopefully.

"Mikasa, Armin." Bertholdt called us from the court's entrance.

"Let's go, word is that we need to be back in camp by tomorrow morning." Bertholdt finished.

I nodded and both Armin and I left with Bert. It was a quiet walk back to our temporary dwelling. A nice kind of quiet, like looking at a serene view of the sky on the first day of spring. The interior was busy with many merchants and scammers. This one man offered us a bag of potatoes for 10 euro! It's usually just 4 or 3£ because they're quick to grow and easy as well. Bert just kept walking away from all these money makers and led the way.

Armin was just somewhat nervous and afraid to deny a man who offered him 20£ for one slice of salted fish. The only fish we have are ones cultivated within the science departments, and whenever they aren't necessary and still healthy; they're given on the market to these thieves. Sickening.

I grabbed Armin's arm and dragged him along when Bert just came and swooped the salted 30 cm slice and handed the merchant 20£. Where did he get all this money anyways? And why is he spending so much of it?!

I just gave him a face of bewilderment and he shrugged sheepishly at me. We continued or path and FINALLY got into our lodgings.

"Armin, do you want any fish?" Bert asked.

"Uh-er-- sure!"

"And you Mikasa?" Bert turned to me.

I looked at him, to the fish, and then back at him.

"I'll have mine fried." I answered.

"So what's with the scouts and Eren?" Armin suddenly asked taking a seat by the small 4 chaired dinner table.

I sat with him as Bertholdt got out a pan and some fire wood in the cupboards.

"I don't know, maybe they want to test his abilities, but maybe not just yet. They clearly don't trust him yet." I reasoned.

"Or they might be experimenting on him!" Armin shouted in despair. "Oh that Hange Zoë woman is a scientist right?! And if she's obsessed with titans, she must want to open up and poke around with her needles into Eren--"

"They're not going to take that risk." Bertholdt chipped in.

"Wha-what do you mean?" Armin asked, subtly calming down.

"Well, if this theory is true to experiment on him and or test his abilities, then their obligation is to keep him alive. Levi did threaten to kill eren if the necessity ever arises, however how can they continue to test him if he's dead? Its like trying to see if a mouse can dance after cutting the poor thing up."

We were quiet, I suppose that makes sense. Armin's face was silent and pensive.

"Agreed, it makes sense--oh and how are we getting back to camp?"

"Armin, stop asking so many questions. I'm just tired and hungry okay." Is all I could say, sometimes he talked way too much.

"On horseback of course, if not then it'll be by our gear and foot." Bert answered Armin whilst flipping a half of the fish into the air.
