Chapter 1

Little An: catamount are like meif'wa, but they have less difficulty turning into cats, and most catamount are larger cats,like tigers or lion, and meif'wa turn into house cats. Carmen is a polyform catamount, where most can only turn into one species of large cat, Carmen can turn into any kind of large cat. Lynx, lion, tiger, leopard, jaguar. Anything. On with the story!

When my alarm went off, I opened my Acidic green eyes and stretched, my pale skin glowing, and I brushed my grey hair out of my eyes. Parking my cat ears up, I heard Ava stir as well, and I remembered she had a job interview at the grocery store. Maybe she can get more food while she's there. I thought, creeping out of bed.

When I finished getting ready, I left my room to see Ava taking out the trash, only to be stopped by Jake, who was asking for rent. Sighing, I went back into my room and got the proper amount for rent and handing it to Jake. Unlike my dear older sister, I have a job and work from the apartment. I make little charms like necklaces and bracelets and such out of resin, epoxy, glass, and a lot more, and sell them to shops. I especially like making things from glass. It's so shiny and smooth.

Looking out the window, I saw dozens of cosplayers, people going to work, and even caught a glimpse of Ava taking out the trash. Watching where she disappears, an alley beside out apartment, I saw five cosplayers come out a few minutes later, but my sister had yet to show. Getting worried, I went out of the apartment and into the alley. Hoping I didn't see my sister beaten up or something, I instead saw her hanging from a tree, and went to help her.

I was four inches shorter than my dear sister, so I could hardly much, but while I struggled, she looked over my head and said, "Oh no, beautiful men!" And I turned and became a bright red. "Uh, hello~ can one of you please help me get my sister out of the tree?" I said, smiling sweetly, and noticed a ginger haired one staring at my ears. "Hey, it's rude to stare." I said, and he turned away. "Human. Descend at once." Said a black clothed one with gold. Shiny.... I thought, my cat instincts taking over as I reached to feel his armband. "Uh, o don't know what roleplay your from, but I'm not into that stuff, and you might want to keep a eye on your armbands and stuff, Carmen likes shiny things." Said Ava, and I fiddled with the armband I slipped of him without him noticing.

This is real gold and jewels! I thought, turning over the warm gold band. "Carmen, give the thing back." Said Ava, and I tossed it, and it looped around the horn without a ring. "Hehe I win!" I giggled, "Descend. Now!" He yelled, slipping the band back around his arm. "Ok, I'll play along." Said Ava, and she put up a silly voice and expression. "Oh cruel fate,-" as soon as I heard her voice, I started laughing, and when she was done. "Silence!" He yelled, holding up his hand, and the tree caught fire.

"What?!" I yelled, and Ava grabbed his horns and he blushed, while the others yelled something about indecency, and a blue horned one covered the gingers eyes. When Ava let go, she turned pale and fainted. "AVA!"I yelled, and ginger said, "You... killed it." And emo boy said, "n-no I didn't! Leif, knock the other one out!"He said. One good part of being part cat, my reflexes are sharp as a knife. Jumping at the white horned one, I turned into a snow leopard and knocked him to the ground, before turning into a house cat to make me harder to catch and running back to the apartment to call the cops. I heard footsteps behind me and was knocked out, the last thing I saw was the ginger, looking at me concerned.
