At the start of PE the teacher asked everyone to go to the locker room to change into their gym clothes. Jack tried to get out of it by saying he didn't have his, but the teacher said it was ok and went to grab an extra pair.

In the locker room it seemed the other boys wanted a reason to laugh at Jack so they were looking at him expecting to see a flabby or unfit body. However when Jack took off his jacket and just wore his undershirt they could already see some of his muscles. Some of the boys were already widening their eyes at just that.

When Jack unbuttoned his undershirt and took it off however, gasps were heard throughout the room. Scars, three big slashes, and many small but still prominent scars littered his back. And when he turned around to get his gym clothes the scars on his chest were seen too. Going all the way up to the base of his neck.

When he wore the gym shorts you could see a scar that went from the tip of his knee curving down his calf as if it was cut by a long knife (which it was). Unlike in the classroom the other students remained dead silent and stayed that way until Jack left into the gym.

But as soon as he left they started whispering, and Jack, with his hearing, could hear everything they said. Most of them were talking about what could have caused them and spreading rumors. And a lot of them who knew that there was no way anything minor could have caused cuts like that just stayed silent out of fear from thinking of what kinda life Jack had gone through.

Out of the locker room some of the girls who were eagerly awaiting to see what Jack might look like in the tightly fitted gym clothes gasped from the muscles they could see from when he just emerged. However when he got closer and they could see the scars on his arms and neck their jaws dropped.
The gym teacher that was just emerging out of his office after everyone came out, looked around and noticed an awkward atmosphere between the girls, and the boys looked almost scared. Then he saw the cause and breathed out slowly. Deciding to break the tension he decided to start class.

"Hello everyone, today for class we will be practicing rope climbing for fun." At this some the students started whispering again about how fun that would be, and the tension was mostly lifted. "Could you all get into pairs for today's assignment because everyone needs a safety partner."

At those words everyone avoided Jack and went straight for their best friend or whoever was closest. Ellie however went towards Jack and smiled. "Can I be your partner for today? I would love to get to know you better." Jack smiled back and nodded.

The rope was about 50 feet high, because it went from the ceiling of the gym to the ground. The gym teacher, who was certain nobody could climb 50 feet on a rope, said, "Just climb as much as you can today, and tomorrow we will learn the techniques of how to climb it properly."

Jack smiled up at the rope. Of course he had trained how to climb ropes of at least 100 feet, dangling over cliffs or his teacher and mentor, No. 4, threatening to stab him if he fell. "You can go first Ellie, if you fall I'll catch you."

Ellie who also thought that she had more than averagely fit body smirked playfully, "Ha, you won't need to catch me because I won't fall. I'll make it to the top than anyone else. In fact, let's race who can get up the most on the rope." Hearing this, some other students also thought it was a good idea and asked the teacher to make it official.

Then the whole class gathered around one rope and took turns while measuring and writing down the different heights of each classmate. Ellie and Jack who were going last finally got to step up onto the platform. Ellie took hold of the rope and pulled herself up. Trying to rap the rope around one of her legs to go higher. When she finally succeeded she struggled for a bit until doing it again. When she got ten feet up she smiled down at Jack, lost concentration and slipped. She shrieked when she fell, only to land in something soft.

Jack had caught her like he promised and that made Ellie laugh. Jack smiled down at her and then coughed lightly. Realizing that she was still in Jack's arms Ellie blushed lightly and got out of his hold. The rest of the class was laughing at her embarrassment, but quickly stopped when they realized it was Jack's turn.

Jack stepped onto the platform and easily grabbed seven feet high on the rope. Pulling himself up he expertly grabbed higher and without even supporting his body by rapping the rope around his feet he began to climb. After he reached 30 feet he started rapping his feet. But unlike Ellie, who had to struggle for 30 seconds before succeeding, he only took three seconds before he shot up another three feet. After this he quickly reached the ceiling after only two minutes.

When he looked down the rest of the class including the teacher were gaping at his skill. Realizing he needed to go down again, he just let go of the rope and fell, causing some of the students to scream. But nearing the bottom he just reached out and grabbed the rope again. Burning his hand, but since he was so used to doing this, no mark was left when he burned it against the rope on his way down.

The teacher quickly ran over and grabbed his wrist. But when he saw that no burn or injury was on his hand, the teacher's eyes widened and he let go. Jack walked over to Ellie, who had long gone silent, and smiled. "I win, so do I get a prize?" Ellie was brought back to reality and smiled back, "Sure, I'll treat you to a meal or something."

With PE over, and Jack feeling like his plan to stay inconspicuous was slowly falling to pieces bit by bit, he left the classroom and finished the rest of school with ease. After he finished he went to the office after getting a message from one of the council students.

"Do you know why you are here Mr. Hopperton?" Said the principle in an ominous voice. His fashion sense had gotten worse than last time because now he was wearing the same top hat but with bright blue boots, a military jacket, and tight black jeans.

"No, sir, I do not." Jack replied in a tone that said he didn't know and he didn't care. The principle smiled and said, "Your mother contacted me and said that she would like you to start living in the dorms. She was worried about you and wanted you to be able to make some friends. So we decided it would be best to put you in a four person dorm."
