The thug, whose name was Anthony, woke up in the middle of the night due to a faint noise. He had always been a light sleeper, but he hadn't expected to find Jack awake. When Anthony leaned over to look down at Jack's desk he saw a flash of light.

When he looked closer he noticed that Jack had something shiny in his hand and was polishing it with a cloth. Anthony couldn't see what the object was but it was obviously something that Jack didn't want the other roommates to find out about.

As Anthony was about to go back to sleep he heard shuffling sounds and looked down again. There was another figure besides Jack. Anthony, with his good hearing, could hear snippets of their conversation.

"Did you do it?"

"Yeah, have the clean-up crew arrived yet?"

"Don't worry, we took care of the mess. But, are you sure you should be doing this. The boss said-"

"The boss should be happy with this. I'm earning her money. Or should I call her mom now?" Jack said with sarcasm. The other person sniggered quietly.

"Whatever, just make sure no one finds out who you are."

Whatever could you mean? I'm Jack Hopperton." At this they both laughed. Then the other figure disappeared. Jack sighed and put the shiny object away. Then he changed out of his clothes and climbed up into the bed.

Anthony could smell a metallic scent coming from Jack. His eyes widened as he recognised the smell of blood. First the shiny, sharp object. Then the suspicious intruder and the conversation that just screamed that Jack wasn't who they thought he was. And last, but not least, the smell of blood.

Anthony didn't know what had happened, but he knew enough to be worried about his safety if 'jack' ever found out that he was awake during this time. Anthony's mind was turning in confusion. He decided that he should rest and if there was ever a time where he could investigate Jack more, then he would.

With this, Anthony turned over, but he just couldn't rest knowing that Jack was right besides him.
