When the event was finally over, Jack went over to his family. The boss looked at him and asked, "Do you want to invite your 'friends' over to our house someday?" At this everyone laughed, including Jack and the boss.

Alex, seeing Jack's family laughing, felt slightly disturbed. He couldn't figure out why, but the moment Jack's family had come into the gym Alex had felt that he should avoid them. At first he thought it was one of Jack's older brothers because both Markov and Tony looked like they belonged in some sort of gang.

But after he talked with the other siblings, he got more and more creeped out. The youngest sister, Anne-Marie was always twirling her umbrella. And one time, when she thought no one was looking she tripped one of the guest, and then quickly ran away while snickering.

Then, there was that blue haired kid, Peter. He never smiled, and one time he went up to one of the parents and flipped up his eyepatch. The guest ran out of the room and threw up. Peter did smirk at this though.

Alex thought that Mark was a typical nerd, but he wielded his pen like a weapon. Whenever Mark talked to anyone, he would take the pen out of his breast pocket and grip it so hard, his knuckles would turn white. Alex was surprised that the pen didn't break after all that tension.

Eugene, Alex decided, was a huge flirt. He would go from women to women. And then after he made every girl he could find fall for him, he would start talking to their moms. After a while, one of the husbands came over and tried to hit him, but Eugene avoided the punch. The way he avoided it made him seem graceful, and still beautiful. The husband tried to punch him again and then John, the big man, who was at least 7 feet tall, came over.

The husband missed out of shock from seeing John. Then the husband grabbed his wife's hand and quickly left. John then proceeded to scold Eugene. And to Alex's surprise Eugene just laughed it off and reached up to pat John's shoulder. He could just barely reach though and ended up just brushing the end.

Markov was the definition of a suspicious character. His scar, that looked like a jagged lightning bolt over his eye, was a dull pink color and his pupil in that eye was glossy and white. He had a thick Russian accent and had a hard time communicating with the other people because of it. Well, mostly it was just that people didn't go near him.

Then there was Priscilla. She seemed like an ordinary girl, besides the fact that she was very beautiful. Her hair was straight, light brown, and silky. She seemed like a college graduate, or maybe she was still in college. But whenever someone tried to talk to her, Tony would come over and scare them away by just looking at them. She didn't say anything when he did that, but just quietly observed the crowd.

In the middle of the event, Alex could see them holding hands, and saw them disappearing into an abandoned bathroom. He was about to tell them that it didn't work and then realized what they intended to do in the bathroom. His face flushed and he quickly went back in, but in the doorway he bumped into Wendy.

"Ah, they're at it again." Wendy muttered under her breath before realizing that Alex was there. "Oh, hey honey. Could you excuse me. I have to teach my siblings some proper etiquette." Then she easily pushed Alex to the side and walked into the bathroom. Alex was left there dumbstruck. I mean, I know they're not blood related, but how much do they do this kind of thing here? Then, to his utmost shock, Wendy came back with both Tony and Priscilla in tow.

The two siblings that were just making out in the bathroom looked slightly annoyed, but other than that, it seemed like they hadn't done anything at all. Back in the gym, Wendy approached Alex.

"Hey kid, sorry you had to see that. You know, you look familiar." When she said that, Alex almost flinched. There was no way she would know of him.

"Haha. Sorry, I don't recall ever meeting you. And about before, are they a couple?" Alex asked, trying to steer the conversation in a different direction. However that might have been the wrong direction to take.

"Those two haven't dated anyone before. They just need something to take their minds off everything. But, to do that at a family gathering... Sigh." Wendy seemed sad to see them like that. It made Alex wonder what kinds of things this family has been through to make them all so... strange.

"Excuse me for asking, but has your family been through something. Because you don't have a dad, Jack has tons of scars everywhere, and all of your siblings are, well, really strange." When he asked this Wendy stared at him coldly.

"You're saying Jack showed you his scars?" When Alex nodded, Wendy put her head in her hands and just waved goodbye. Then she walked towards Jack, only to find him briskly heading out of the gym with his hand tightly wrapped around a punk looking dude's wrist.
