"KATY, ARE YOU EVER GONNA GET OUT OF THAT CAR?" Noah Puckerman breathed out with a hint of frustration in his voice, "I don't usually care about this crap but I don't want you to be late on your first day."

"I'm coming." Katy assured him, taking one last check of her hair in the mirror before stepping out of her brothers car and glancing around nervously as she gripped onto the straps of her new school bag.

Smiling at her fondly, Puck rubbed a hand against her back, "don't be nervous, I'm just a text away, alright?"

Katy nodded, chewing on her lip. She didn't really know what to say, Puck usually did the talking for the both of them. To say she was nervous for her first day of freshman year was an understatement.

"Come on, ill show you where your locker is." He laughed slightly, snatching the slip of paper out of her hands and glancing over the information that Katy needed for her first day. Just as he got to the bottom of the paper, beginning to explain to his sister where her locker is, Puck found himself getting distracted by his football friends, rowdily shouting over to him.

Instantly intrigued, he shoved the note back into Katy's hands, recoiling backwards slightly. Looking up, Katy noticed what he was looking at. She frowned deeply and gritted her teeth slightly as she saw them shoving around a poor boy that she guessed from the brief descriptions that she'd heard, was Kurt Hummel.

She didn't often speak up against anything, but she hated watching this and she hated even more that it was her brother obviously leading the charge. Letting out a deep sigh, she grabbed onto his wrist to catch his attention, "I really wish you'd stop all this bullying. It's horrible."

Puck bit his lip slightly as he saw the upset in her face, but he just shrugged, "that's just the way it is around here."

"Well it shouldn't be." She retaliated, strongly, "I hate watching you be this bad guy. It's horrible what you do to these guys, especially Kurt."

"I'm not a bad guy." Puck insisted, "I'm the Puckersaurus." Katy lifted her eyebrows, unimpressed, "okay, maybe I'm not a great person but I'm cool! That's what matters right?"

Raising her eyebrow even further up, Katy crossed her arms across her chest, disapprovingly, "and what if I went to help him? What if I was a loser too? Would you throw me in the dumpster?"

Puck stammered slightly, rubbing his hand against the back of his neck, "Katy, that's different, you're my sister. I'd never do anything to hurt you. You just have to understand that this is what life is like around here and in order to survive, you've got to be popular. You've already got a head start, so please, do yourself a favour and lay low."

Katy was completely torn, glancing over towards the dumpster, that practically had Kurt's name in it and then back to her brother, who was practically begging her to leave it alone. Closing her eyes for a second, Katy pinched the bridge of her nose, "fine. Just don't hurt him."
