NOTHING COULD'VE PREPARED me for this day. Months ago, if someone would've told me this would ever happen--I just wouldn't have believed them.
The day started out, beautifully. Or at least, it was actually pretty bland until I found myself gazing into Tenshi Sakura's big diamond blue orbs. They shimmered in the same exact way the stars would, although--happiness wasn't evident in her features.
She was waiting in our spot; just as she usually did. Only when I hovered above the roof, I found her pacing around in circles.
I flashed a subtle smirk, in hopes of masking the anxious gritty feeling in my chest. "Didn't think you'd be this excited to see me."
She gave me this pleading look, and when she spoke; it was evident she was on edge.
"Are those new clothes? You holding out on me Angel--" "I don't have very much time Keigo.."
Her voice shook. She pulls out a letter; taking a deep shakey breath whilst handing it to me.
"What's..this?" I press. She scrunched her eyes closed, playing around with the tips of her pale blue skirt.
"I-I need to...tell you something." A faint blush dusted her cheeks, and she looked quite nervous as she spoke. My curiosity was definetely peeked.
"When I first met you...I thought you were...kind of stupid."
I stare back at her dumbfounded. She waves her hands around frantically, before adding- "But--I-It's just that..well...I-I was kind of stupid back then too..."
"I thought the world was a cold bitter place. And it's because I was so stupid. I made dumb choices and put my life in danger more times than I could keep track of...My life was pretty much a big dark void. And then...you came along..."
"I-I've never met anyone like you Keigo."
I couldn't help but gape. No ones ever said anything like that to me before; how could I not? I could feel my cheeks heating up.
She licks her lips, gazing up at me intently. "I don't think I've ever, loved anyone in this world--until I met you."
"Wh-What I'm trying to say is...uhh..well....um....."
I tilted my head, confused. Before I had the chance to ask what this was about; she drapes her arms around my neck, pulling me down to meet her sparkling gaze.
Suddenly; her lips brushed against mine--the gap between us eventually closing in--and we met in a powerful kiss. It was like fireworks just, errupted in my mouth. My brain lit on fire; I could feel the warmth spreading throughout my entire body.
As cheesy as it sounds, it was just like in some tacky romance-manga. For that single moment time stops, and it's almost like the world around us just fell away.
