I was so angry at Anabelle but I had to conceal it from Tara so that it would not ruin our lunch date.

After the date, I dropped her at the foundation and drove to my father's mansion instead of going back to the company. I hoped and prayed that he would be at home.

I arrived there some hours later and drove into the compound, his car was there.

"Thank goodness, he is at home." I thought to myself

I pressed the door bell and nanny Mercy opened the door.

Nanny Mercy had been my nanny since childhood. She was like a mother figure to me ever since I lost my mother and I love and cherish her.

Rumour had it that her step-mother cast a spell on her which cause her inability to get any suitors not to talk of getting married.

"Oh, nanny, good afternoon," I greeted smiling

"Afternoon Olaitan," She replied smiling back

Note: She is the only one that love calling me by my Yoruba name.

"How are you doing ma?" I asked

"Very well," She replied

"Okay ma, my dad around," I said more like a question

"Yes, he is at the big living room upstairs," She replied

"Okay ma." I said finally

I pecked her and climbed the stairs to meet my dad. I got there to find him watching the T.V

"The Lion himself," I said

"The son of the Lion, how are you doing?" He asked smiling

"Am not that okay but I can see you are doing great," I said sadly

"Yes I am. What is bothering my son?" He asked

"Dad, it is Anabelle." I said finally

"What about her again?" He asked

"Dad, but you remember Omotara Banks?" I asked

"Is it not that your then girlfriend at Uni?" He asked me

"Yes dad," I replied

"So what has that got to do with Anabelle?" He asked me

"Tara is the brand ambassador of the company and the two of us are pretty close now, thanks to the explanations I gave her. But Anna came to her office today to threaten her." I said finally awaiting his reaction

"What! Anabelle did that?" He asked me with shock written all over his face

"Yes dad, I was so surprised as you are. Dad what are you going to do. I can't risk Tara's life and if anything happens to her, I won't be able to forgive myself," I said sadly

"Nothing will happen to her. I will call Anabelle's dad now. We need to fix a meeting and the four of us must be there," He said with a tone of finality

"Okay dad, that will be better." I said finally

He picked his phone and dialed Senator Nwankwo's number. I didn't get the details but I was happy that Senator Nwankwo agreed to the meeting on Friday night in form of a family dinner.

I got home quite late in the afternoon because I branched at the salon to make a new hair.
