"What!"

That was the only thing I said before my phone fell off my ear. I was shivering and at the same time sweating. I don't know what to do, whom to call or what to say.

"Sir are you okay?" Pamela voice brought me out of my thoughts

Have totally forgotten I had a company in the office.

"You can go now," I said as calmly as I can

I watched how she left my office without uttering another word.

I paced up and down the office without knowing what to do. I couldn't call her parents now. I picked my phone from the floor to call my dad.

Luckily for it, it didn't have any scratch but that was the least of my concern. I dialled his number and he picked almost immediately.

"Dad," I said

"Son, what is the matter, why is your voice down?" He asked with concern

"Tara has just been kidnapped," I dropped the bombshell

"What? When, where, how?" He asked

"Just now, her friend, Cassandra said she was kidnapped at the parking lot in front of her foundation," I explained

"OMG..." He exclaimed... "This is not happening, have you inform the cops?" He asked

"No dad," I replied

"Don't worry, I will inform the police now and contact your Uncle Kenneth," He said

"Okay dad. I can't take it if anything happens to her," I said almost crying

"Son, nothing will happen to her. You have to be strong, okay." He said

"Alright dad." I disconnected the call

I was about to leave the company, when Tara's mum called. My heartbeat accelerated. I don't know what to say to her.

As soon as I wanted to pick the call, it ended. I called her back and she picked it.

"Please, Eric bring out my daughter where you put her," She said crying and I felt guilty for that

"Mum, please calm down," I said calmly

"Don't tell me to calm down, tell that stupid girlfriend of yours to release my daughter," She said yelling

"Mum, we are doing our best to track the location," I said

"Hello," I heard a male voice. I guessed she gave the phone to Mr Banks

"Mr Banks, we have inform the police about it," I said awaiting his response

"I know it is not your fault, but you can understand the pain of a mother, it is her only child we are talking about," He said calmly but with pains

"I know sir and am sorry Tara has to go through this," I replied feeling guilty

"We will also inform the police here at Ikorodu, we will do our possible best to fish out the culprit and by God's grace, Tara will be release soon," He said
