*Regina's POV*
I woke up around 8 am the next morning. I looked beside me and Roland was still sleeping, softly. I smiled. "Morning sunshine." Emma whispered quietly. I smiled at her. "Morning love." I said. I got out of bed and walked to the closet, Emma close behind. "Do we have to work today?" Emma asked. "No, but we do have to go into Kennebunk." I said. Emma looked at me. "We have to adopt Roland." I said and Emma nodded. "Wait... Doesn't he have to come too..." Emma said. I shook my head. "No, we just have to meet Robin and Marian." I said. Emma nodded. I put on a grey pencil skirt, a light blue blouse and black pumps. Emma put on black dress pants, a purple blouse and black stilettos. I smiled as she pulled her blonde hair into a loose fish tail braid. She smiled at me and I walked over to the bed, where a sleeping Roland was, curled up in the middle. I smiled at him. "Ro, wake up bud." I said as I gently shook him awake. He looked at me. "Where you going?" He asked. "Mommies have to go do some work." I said. "I wanna come!" He said. I looked at Emma. She nodded. "Okay. Go get dressed." I said. He nodded. "How are we going to get him over the line?" I asked. "I can put a spell on him, so, as long as one of us is touching him at all times while we are over the line, he won't forget where Storybrooke is and he can still get over the line." Emma said. I nodded. Roland ran back in the room wearing jeans, a t shirt, a jacket and boots. I smiled as I picked him up in my arms. "Okay bud. There are some rules for today. You have to be either holding one of our hands at all times or being held by one of us. Okay?" I asked. He nodded. He held his arms out towards Emma and I handed him to her. She rested him on her hip and smiled as he put his small arms around her neck. We walked out of our room and walked downstairs to my car. We texted the kids and told them what we were doing. I had called Robin and Marian and told them that one of us had to be touching him at all times. They didn't seem to care. We got in and Roland sat on Emma's lap. I smiled. I drove to the town line and we got out. "Okay bud. Mommy has to put a potion on you now. Okay?" I asked. He nodded. Emma pulled out the small vile and poured it over him. It glittered as it fell on him, then he ran to Emma and she picked him up. "Okay. We're all good." Emma said. We got back in the car and drove over the line. "Can you still see the line?" Emma asked him. He looked out the back of the car and nodded. "What color is it?" Emma asked with a goofy smile. "Orange!" He said. Emma laughed and nodded. We drove for about 45 minutes until we saw the "Welcome to Kennebunk, Maine" sign. We continued driving until we got to the address Robin had given me. We pulled up at a small house and got out. Emma had Roland resting on her hip. I smiled at how cute she looked with him. We walked to the door and I rang the bell. Robin came out 10 minutes later. "Poppa?" Roland asked. "Hi." Robin said and looked at him. Roland buried his face in Emma's neck and Robin frowned. Marian came out a minute later. "Ready?" I asked. They nodded. We got in our car and Roland looked at Emma and then at me. "Why does momma and poppa not want me?" He asked. Emma frowned and a tear rolled down her cheek. He reached up quickly and wiped it away. "I don't know bud." Emma said. I rubbed her shoulder. I turned the car on and we followed Marian and Robin to the adoption agency. We got out and Emma held Roland close to her. We walked in and sat down. "Good morning." A man said and motioned for us to come into his office. We all stood up and Emma held Roland tight. We walked in and there were 4 chairs. Emma and I sat down and Roland sat on her lap. Marian and Robin sat beside us. "So, we're adopting today?" The man asked and looked at me. I nodded. Roland looked up at the man. "They're going to be my mommies!" He said with a big smile. The man smiled at us and we smiled back. "So, Mrs. Swan-Mills, tell me about yours and Emma's life in, where was it, Storybrooke?" He asked. "Yes, that's right. Emma and I have been married for a year and a half. We dated for 5 years. We have 2 children together and we have a dog." I said and Emma grabbed my hand. I smiled at her. We were both very worried that something wouldn't work out and we wouldn't be able to adopt him. "These papers say that you and Emma are the queens?" He asked and looked at us. We both nodded. He smiled. "Now, tell me about these 2 children." He said. "Well, they were from my first relationship. Henry is 15 and Taylor is 18." Emma said. "And Regina, do you have parental rights and custody of these children?" He asked. I nodded. He looked at Robin and Marian. "And you two don't want your son?" He said. "Nope." Robin said. Emma rubbed Roland's back. "Okay. Mrs. And Mrs. Swan-Mills. I assign you full custody and parental rights of Roland James. His last name will be changed to Swan-Mills. Robin, Marian. Sign here." He said. They signed a paper and passed it back to him. He passed it us and Emma and I signed it. "Congratulations Mrs. And Mrs. Swan-Mills." The man said and stood up. "Thank you." I said and shook his head. Emma stood up, holding Roland in her arms. Marian and Robin were both wearing modern clothes. "Bye guys." Robin said. "Hold on." Emma said, then handed me Roland. "Go on to the car. I'll meet you." Emma said. I nodded and took Roland to the car.
*Emma's POV*
"Okay. Look, I know you've moved on and whatever. But, you could've been a little nicer. Okay? He was your son." I said. Robin just looked at me. "We don't care about him anymore." He spit, through his deep accent. I glared at him. "You heartless asshole." I spit and turned around. "Goodbye Emma." He said. I flipped him off. I got in the drivers side and hit the steering wheel. "Ugh!" I screamed. "Emma... Do I need to drive?" Regina said and placed her hand on my thigh. I nodded my head as a tear rolled down my cheek. We got out and she handed me Roland. He wrapped his arms around my neck and kissed my cheek. "I love you mommy." He said and wiped my tears away. "I love you too bud." I said and hugged him. Regina drove all the way home. It took almost an hour. We got to the town line and I felt relieved. We got to the house and Roland jumped off my lap and ran to the front door. I took off my seat belt and leaned my elbows on my knees. I put my head in my hands and cried. I felt an arm snake around my back and an arm under my knees. Regina picked me up and carried me inside, bridal style. I wrapped my arms around her neck and cried. "Shh. We'll talk about it when we get upstairs baby." She said and I nodded. We walked upstairs and she set me down in the bed. I used magic to change instead of actually changing. I was now wearing black sweat pants and a white t shirt. Regina got in the bed and was wearing a Boston hoodie and black yoga pants. She pulled the covers over us and she wrapped her arms around me. "What happened?" She asked and rubbed my back soothingly. "They said they didn't care about him anymore. What the fuck is their problem." I said. "I don't know baby. But, he's our son now. Okay? We will love him and care for him as much as we can and for our whole lives." Regina said. I nodded. "I love you Emma." She said. "I love you." I said and kissed her cheek.
*Regina's POV*
Emma fell asleep in my arms. Then, a pigeon appeared on the window sill. I slowly stood up, being careful not to wake Emma up. I walked over to the window and opened it. There was a note tied to the pigeons leg. I untied it and read the note. "Hello dearie. Guess who! I've gotten my magic back with the help of some friends. I've placed a curse on the happy little town of Storybrooke. It will send everyone back to the enchanted forest. Everyone, that is, that's from the enchanted forest. Everyone else, will simply stay in Storybrooke. Except, Storybrooke will no longer exist. Have fun figuring it out dearie. Oh! It will reach the town exactly 8 hours after this note does. -Yours truly, Rumple Von Stiltskin." That damn imp. Tears were flowing down my cheeks. What would happen to Henry, or Taylor or Roland. None of them were born in the enchanted forest. "Damn it." I whispered. I shooed the pigeon away and closed the window. "Emma. You have to wake up. Come on wake up." I said and shook her. "Regina. What's wrong?" Emma said as she noticed I was crying. "You. You have to take Henry, Taylor and Roland out of Storybrooke. Rumplestiltskin put a curse on Storybrooke that's going to take everyone back to the enchanted forest. But, since the kids were born in this world, they'll stay here. And Storybrooke will disappear." I said, tears burning my cheeks. "No. No, no, I'm not leaving you. I refuse!" Emma said. "Please. Emma. I don't want the kids to be by themselves in this world. Emma, I love you. You know that. I will find you. Okay?" I said. Emma was crying but nodded. I told the kids and they each packed a bag. The note got here at 10 am. Meaning the curse would arrive at 6. It was 5:45 pm. "Come on guys. Get in the car." I said. They got in and Emma drove to the town line. I told everyone what would happen and The Charming's, Killian and Belle, and anyone else who wanted to see Emma off, met us at the town line. The kids all said their goodbyes and got in the car. Nick stood with Snow and cried as Taylor got in the car. She cried once she got in. It's 5:56. "Emma, I love you. So so much. I will find you. I will always find you. No matter where you end up. I will find you and the kids. You are my savior. I love you. You will not remember anything from Storybrooke. Which means, you will not remember me. But, you will have new memories. I will find you. Okay? Now go. It's almost here." I said as I saw the purple cloud approaching. Emma and I were both crying. Emma and I hugged. She gave me a passionate kiss and I frowned as she walked to her car. I pulled out the small scroll, that would break the curse and I held it. The only way it would work was if I said goodbye to the things I loved most. Emma drove over the town line and didn't look back. I ripped apart the scroll and the cloud began disappearing. I sat down at the line and cried. I wanted Emma. I need my Swan. I have to get her back. But, I have no idea where she'll end up. *time lapse.* It's been a year. A year and I still haven't gotten any of my family back. The town is protected from any outer magic now. I found a map that will lead you to anyone. I've made a memory potion and I have 4 small vials of it. Now, I just have to figure out how to use the map and I will know where Emma is. I took it to Belle. She's been running the pawn shop. "Hey, Belle. Can you help me out?" I asked. She nodded. "Okay. I need to figure out how to use this map." I said. She looked at it. "Okay, so, all you have to do is say the name of the person you're trying to find, and put a small drop of your blood in the middle of the compass. Okay?" She said with a smile. I nodded. "You'll find them Regina." She said. I smiled. "Thanks Belle." I said and she hugged me. I went home and put the 4 vials of the potion in a bag and put the bag over my shoulder. I got the map and found a needle. I spread the map out and pricked my finger. I squeezed it a little and there was enough blood to get the job done. I whispered Emma's name over the map and pressed my finger in the center of the compass. The map started sparkling. A sparkly circle appeared around New York, then an address appeared at the bottom of the map. I wrote it down. And put the map in my bag. I put the address in my pocket and ran to my car. "I'm coming Emma." I said to myself as I started the car. I drove for almost 8 hours until I saw the "Welcome To New York" sign. I drove until I found the road I was looking for. I pulled up at a small house. This was it. I would get my Emma back. I turned the car off and walked to the door. I rang the doorbell and waited. Five minutes later, Henry came to the door. "Hi... Can I help you?" He asked. "Uh, is Emma home?" I asked. "No, but she'll be home in a little while. Would you like to come in?" He asked. "Sure." I said and he moved aside. I stepped in the small house and looked around. "Come sit." Henry said and walked towards, what I'm guessing is, the living room. There were two small couches and he sat on one, so I sat on the one across from him. "I'm Henry Swan-Mills. Emma's son." He said and held out his hand. I shook it. "I'm Regina Mills." I said and smiled. He nodded. Then Taylor walked in the room. "Henry, where's-" she started but, stopped after she looked at me. "Hi... Uh, I'm Taylor, Emma's daughter." She said and looked at me. "I'm Regina Mills." I said. It felt weird to be introducing myself to my children. "Hey Ro! Come down here a second." Henry yelled. "Where's mom?" Taylor said. "Out with some girl again." Henry said and rolled his eyes. "Like, another date?" She asked. He nodded. "Damn. Fourth one this week." I almost said 'watch your mouth young lady.' But I stopped myself. My heart sunk that Emma had been going on dates. But, she doesn't remember me. "Ro!" Taylor yelled, then went upstairs to find him. "Mom should be home soon." Henry said and looked at me. I nodded and as if, on cue, Emma came in. With some brunette chick wrapped in her arm. My jealousy rose. I stood and looked at them. "Mom, Regina is here. She was looking for you." Henry said and ran upstairs. "Uh..." Emma said. She froze after I stood up. "Who are you?" The brunette said. "Regina Mills. You?" I asked and looked her up and down. "Emily Raven." She said. Emma was just staring at me. I walked over to her and kissed her. Not just a kiss, a passionate kiss. "What the hell? Get off my girlfriend!" Emily whined. But, Emma was kissing me back. She had her hands on my ass. I pulled away and smiled. "You're back." She said. I nodded. "What the hell Emma?" Emily said and looked at her. "Emily, we're through. Goodbye." Emma said, then kissed me again. After the girl had left Emma pulled away. "Regina... How'd you find us?" Emma asked. "I told you. I'd always find you." I said. She nodded and smiled. "I missed you." She said. "You remembered me?" I asked. She nodded. "I remembered everything. I just, I didn't know how to find you, or get in touch with you. The kids didn't remember. They lost everything. Regina, I thought I had lost you." Emma said. Tears, flowing down both of our cheeks. I shook my head and hugged her close to me. "Emma, you will never lose me." I said. She nodded. "Mom... Mom?" Henry said and came downstairs. She pulled away, but still held my hand. "Yeah kid?" She asked. "Uh, I was going to ask if Emily was still coming over for dinner. But, I assume not?" He said. "No. I broke up with her. Regina? Would you like to stay for dinner?" Emma said and looked at me. "Uh, sure." I said and smiled. Henry nodded and ran back upstairs. "Emma... I want you to come home. I even brought memory potions for all of you. But, now I can't find them." I said and looked at her. She laughed. "It's okay." She said with a smile. "Kids! Come down here! I need to talk to you!" Emma shouted. Then Henry, Taylor and Roland came downstairs. "Kids. Pack up your stuff. We're moving." Emma said. "Again?" Henry asked. Emma nodded her head. They didn't have a lot of stuff. They had all of their stuff packed up and ready to pack by sunset. They packed it in my car. "Hi." Roland said. I looked down at him and smiled. He held his arms up for me to pick him up and I did. I rested him on my hip and smiled at him. "You're my mommy too. Aren't you." Roland whispered. I smiled and nodded my head. "Do you remember me?" I asked him. He nodded. I smiled and rested my head on his. He had his leaning on my shoulder. "He told you he remembered?" Emma said and walked over to us. I nodded. "He's remembered the whole year and we would talk about it." Emma said. He nodded and I laughed. "Okay! Come on guys. Get in the car. We have a long drive ahead of us." Emma said. Taylor and Henry got in her car and Roland pulled on her jeans. "Mommy, can I ride with Mommy?" He said. Causing Emma and I both to laugh. "You'll have to ask Mommy." She said and looked at me. "Can I?" He said and looked up at me. I nodded and smiled. "Bye Em. I'll see you in Storybrooke. I love you. Just follow me. Okay?" I said. Emma nodded. "I love you Gina." She said and got in her car. I got in and Roland climbed in the passenger side. He buckled his seatbelt and smiled at me. "Ready to go home?" I said. He nodded. "I missed you mommy. Mommy and me talked about you every night. She would cry and I would wipe her tears. I don't like it when mommy cries." He said. I smiled at the small boy. "I missed you too bud." I said. We drove for about 8 hours. We left New York at 6 pm. We got to Storybrooke around 2:15 am. I pulled in the driveway and Emma pulled in beside me. She got out and so did I. She came over and wrapped her arms around me. "I'm tired." She said. "Me too. But, we can sleep after the kids unpack. Tomorrow, everyone will be all over you. Everyone missed you." I said and smiled. She nodded. Henry and Taylor got out and opened my trunk. They started getting out their bags. "Oh, and I found the memory potions." I said and held up two vials of it. She smiled. "Kids. Come here. Drink this." Emma said and handed them each a vial. "Why?" Henry said. "It's an energy drink." I said. "Okay." Henry said and chugged his. He dropped the vile and it shattered on the driveway. "Mom!" Henry shouted and wrapped me in a bone crushing hug. I smiled. "I missed you!" I said and wrapped my arms around him. "I know!" He said and I laughed. "Uh... I'm not drinking this." Taylor said. "Drink it!" Henry shouted. "No." She said. "Mom.." Taylor said and looked at Emma. "Drink it." She said. "Ugh." Taylor said and then drank it. Her eyes got wide. "Mom!" She said and hugged me. "I missed you." I said and hugged her. She nodded. She grabbed her bags and ran in the house. Henry did the same. Emma grabbed Roland's bags and carried them up to his room. I closed the trunk and went to the passenger side of my car. Roland was asleep. I opened the door and unhooked his seat belt. I picked him up and closed the door. I walked into the house and walked up the stairs. I changed him into his pajamas then laid him down in his bed. "Night bud." I said and kissed his cheek. I turned on his tv and turned it to Disney Junior, then turned off the light. The stars began flowing brightly and I smiled. I walked into my room and Emma smiled at me. She had changed into her pajamas and was laying in our bed. I smiled at her. "You know... We haven't seen each other in a whole year." Emma said. I smirked. "I know. I've been really lonely in this big house, all by myself." I said and looked away, embarrassedly. Emma wrapped her arms around me. "I missed your body." Emma said. I smiled. I knew what she wanted. I used magic and shut the door and locked it. Emma pulled me close to her and I felt her hands slide under my shirt. Then she kissed me passionately. She pulled my shirt off and threw it to the floor. I did the same with hers. This was going to be a fun night. *time jump-1 hour later* Emma rolled off of me and laid beside me. "Holy shit." She said. I smiled. "That was.. Wow." I said. Emma nodded and laid her arm across my stomach. I smiled and moved closer to her. "I love you." Emma said. "I love you. Now, let's get some sleep." I said, realizing it was 3:45 am. Emma laughed and nodded, then pulled the comforter over our naked bodies. Then, we slept peacefully. Our legs tangled together. Her arm across my stomach. I love this woman. I missed her so much over the past year. I'm glad I have my Emma back.
