*Regina's POV*
The 5 of us played with Patches until he fell asleep. There was another bed for him by the Christmas tree. He walked over to it and flopped down. Emma and I smiled at the puppy. "So, are your parents coming over?" I asked and scrunched my face up. Emma just looked at me and smiled slightly. Then the doorbell rang. Of course. Cause they can't knock like normal people. I put on a fake smile and held Emma's hand. Then we walked to the door and Emma put her arm around my waist, then opened the door. "Snow, Charming. So good to see you." I said, lying. Then I went and hugged them. "You too Regina." Charming said. I mean, I love Emma. But, her parents are just annoying. "Emma. Can I speak with you in the kitchen?" Snow said and she and my wife disappeared into the kitchen. "So, how have you been?" Charming said, causing me to meet his gaze. "I'm okay." I said and smiled. He nodded his head and looked towards Lili and Taylor who were cuddled together. "Why do you let them act like that?" Charming said, a look of disgust on his face. "Like what?" I said, looking at him with the same expression, but mine was mixed with anger and confusion. "I don't want my granddaughter to grow up like Emma. I don't want her to fall in love with a girl. I want her to be normal. I know. You and Emma are the truest loves. Most powerful. Whatever. You're adults. But they're not. They are 16. They can't make this choice. Taylor thinks it's okay, because she always sees you and Emma kiss, things like that. But, she should be with a boy. Not with another girl. It's wrong." He said and looked at me. I didn't even know what to say. "Uh.. Are you... Serious right now?" I said. Looking at him with anger and sadness. "Yeah." He said and looked at me with disappointment. I shoved my hands in the back pockets of my jeans. I was still wearing Emma's hoodie. I had changed pants though. "It's true love, Charming." I said and glared at him. His face turned to sadness and he shook his head. "Hey, everything okay out here?" Emma said, putting a hand on my lower back. I began crying and ran upstairs. As soon as I was in my room I sat against the door and cried into my knees. "Regina? Please open the door." I heard Emma say. I sat my chin on my knee and looked out the window. Tears just kept rolling down my cheeks. I couldn't stop them. All I wanted was to get along with Emma's parents for one day. And here I am, crying because her father wants me to take away my daughters happiness. Emma flashed into the room and sat in front of me. She was wearing black skinny jeans and a flannel shirt and white tank top. She sat in front of me and grabbed both of my hands in her hands. I leaned into her chest and cried. She wrapped her arms around me and held me. "I'm sorry Gina." She said and kissed my forehead. "I just want Taylor to be happy and be supported. And he's a fucking homophobe." I said. "I know baby." She said and rubbed my back. "I'm sorry. It's Christmas. We should be happy. Not putting up with their bullshit." Emma said and I sat up and looked her in the eyes. "It's not your fault." I stood up and held my hands out to help her stand up. She grabbed them and I pulled her up. She pulled me close and wrapped her arms around my waist. I wrapped mine around her neck and looked at her, I smiled slightly. Then I closed the distance between us in a passionate kiss. I pulled away 5 minutes later. We were both smiling. "I love you." I said. Emma just kept smiling. We started to go back downstairs and Emma grabbed my hand. Holding it in her hand. I kissed her on the cheek an we walked down the stairs. Taylor came and hugged me tightly and cried into my chest. "Mom I can't do it. I love her." she said through sobs. Charming had been talking to her. "Charming. Get the hell out of my house. Now!" I said and pointed to the door with one hand, the other wrapped around Taylor. He just looked at me and then to Emma. "Emma, you aren't going to let her talk to me like that. Are you?" He said, looking angry. "Get out Charming. It's different when you start hurting my family. Get out." Emma said and came and wrapped an arm around me. "I'm very disappointed in you Emma." He said and walked towards her. "I'm sorry my true love was Regina. And I'm sorry that we had the truest love. Because I know you wanted that for you and Snow. But, grow up. I love Regina and she loves me. Taylor loves Lili and Henry loves Lexie. Okay? I'm sorry we aren't the family you wanted. I'm sorry I'm not the son you wanted. But I love Regina. And I will not let you come in our house and try to break my family apart. So, goodbye Charming." Emma said. He looked angry then Snow came in. "I have a confession." She said and walked towards us. "Charming isn't my true love." She started. "Stop. We said we'd never speak of this." He said to her. "I don't care. You are not my true love and I'm tired of pretending." she said and looked at Emma and I. "Emma. You are my daughter. Charming is your step-father. He adopted you after you were born. Your father was killed. He was my true love. He was Charming's twin brother. When he was killed, Charming here, stepped up and took over. Then adopted you. But, now I'm getting a divorce because I'm tired of him hurting the people I love. I'm sorry Regina. Taylor. Emma. Henry. Lili. I'm sorry." Snow said and hugged us. "I love you mom." Emma said and smiled. "I love you too." Snow said as she and Charming left. "He wanted me to break up with Lili." Taylor said and looked up at me. "he's an asshole." I said and smiled. She agreed and then went and kissed Lili. Emma and I just held each other for a minute. "My family is so fucked up." She said and laughed as she leaned her head against my shoulder. "Not your mom. Charming is." I said and smiled. She nodded and kissed my neck. "I love you." She said. "I love you too." I said and wrapped my arms around her tighter.
