   The sound of an explosion echoed into the bathroom. Reid grabbed my hand and yanked me to my feet.  He shoved me toward the stall to the far right. I heard a crack and the door busted open. What the hell was going on?

Reid stepped onto the toilette and tried to open the window. It was locked. He took off his suit jacket and wrapped it around his hand, “Reid, what’s goin_” I was suddenly yanked back. I was propelled across the bathroom and slammed into the tiled wall. A gust of air left my lungs, painfully.

The blond vampire who had been our host stood in front of me, “Tessa Lupan, it’s a pleasure to meet you.”

Reid flung at her, in wolf form. His fur was a dark gray with mixtures of brown. His eyes were piercing yellow. He raised his clawed paws about to rip her apart. She knocked him aside, Reid smashed into the stalls, breaking them. The vampire sprung to her feet, turning her attention on me, “You_” I round kicked her in the jaw. My breath was hunched and I felt like my heart was about to rip out of my chest.

“You bitch!” The vampire flung at me. She pinned me to the wall, “You will die, Lupan.”

I tied my fingers in her hair and pulled. She screeched and gripped my wrists, pinning them to the wall. I squirmed, “I will drain you dry…”

Her eyes changed to a bright red color, “… or, you can watch me drink your fiancé.”

She released me. What’s going on?

She’s a Seeker, Tessa. She wants you dead.

“I can hear you, Smarty-pants.” The vampire sauntered to Reid, who had turned to his human form a few moments ago. She ran her hands down his chest to the waistband of his jeans.

“Hey! Hands off!” I yelled, taking some steps toward her.

She rolled her eyes, “Relax, he’s not my type.” She pulled out a curved knife from his pants and slid it toward me. I picked it up. She must really suck at this killing job since she just gave me a weapon to use on her. Amateur.

Reid tried to stand up but the vampire wrapped an arm around his neck, holding him to her. Well, to her chest actually, “This is how we’re going to do this. Either you stab yourself in the heart or I drink your boyfriend dry. Your choice.”

OMG, what an evil bitch! How can she make me do this? The knife shook in my hand.

“Te…sa! Don’t!” Reid growled, pain flashing through his eyes.

The vampire sighed, “Tick tock…. Geez, is it that hard to choose? Do you not love him? What a pity.”

“Shut up!” I snapped. I pointed the knife at myself and gripped it with my other hand.

Her hand skimmed across his chest, unbuttoning the first button of his shirt, “Wow, you must work out a lot.”

My lip quivered and I bit it to stop. I bit so hard that my lips began to bleed, “Okay… don’t bite him. I’ll stab myself.”

“No! Vamp bite me. Now! Don’t listen to her!”

“Reid, shut up!”

“I’m not letting you die, Tes! Not if I can stop it! Do you want me to rub ketchup on my neck or something? Bite me already!”
