***I kinda rushed through this, sorry if it isnt that great!***
I was about to launch at Cassie. How dare she? I bet she planned this from the beginning! I gawked at her stomach. Reid’s child was in there. The child I was supposed to have. God, I can’t believe I’m jealous of becoming pregnant with Reid’s baby. It doesn’t really sound that bad but the fact that I’m jealous of Cassie hurts.
Mom glared at Reid, “I knew to never trust you.”
“Miss Lupan_”
“Save it,” I muttered, pushing my mother toward the door. Dad had growled at Reid and stomped out of the room.
Nathan stepped in front of my mother, “This was an error, Lupan. Let’s overlook this because I still wish to be close friends with you and your husband.”
Mom stammered, “I don’t_ uh… fine. Things liked this happen all the time. Tessa will just get someone better.”
Nathan smiled, “Someone much better, I hope.” I glanced at Reid and saw that he looked hurt. Maybe he should have kept his pants zipped. Fuck. Just looking at him made me want to cry because I know I can’t have him. My eyes burned and I left out of the room. I felt the tension leave my body. I inhaled deeply.
“Tessa,” I turned around and the faced the woman Elder, “We have picked someone to replace Reid.”
“Is it wrong that I still want him? Can’t I still marry him?” The words slipped out of my mouth before I could stop myself.
Caden stepped out of the room and leaned against the wall.
The Elder shook her head, “Not possible, I am sorry. If it makes you feel better, the boy we picked as a similar traits as Reid.”
“Similar but not him,” I muttered.
The Elder ignored me, “His name is Carson Rivers. I made arrangements for you two to meet tomorrow at the Café.”
I looked at Caden, “In one condition, I want him out of my life.” I pointed to Caden. He seemed startled at my tone.
“Why?”
“I don’t need anyone to protect me. I know how to fight… well, I’m still learning but I know well enough to protect myself from a Seeker. How am I supposed to lead and protect my pack when I can’t protect myself?” I stated.
The Elder smiled, “I like your confidence, Lupan. Alright. If you get hurt by a Seeker, know that you made the choice.”
“I understand.”
She nodded and walked off, Caden following after her.

The next day, I skipped school and went for a run in my wolf form. I let my mind wander, not thinking about Reid or Cassie’s hoe-bag self and did some mediation. It was peaceful. I stretched and dropped to my back, yawning. I lied in a meadow. The bright green grass pressed against my fur, caressing me. I closed my eyes. Everything was going to be fine. Yeah right. The guy I think I love is with a hoe-bag girl I hate who he got pregnant. Stop thinking about that!
I sprung to my paws and started running. My lungs expanded, air rushing out of my nose hard. I raced out of the meadow. Before I knew it, I was at my house. I changed into human form and went into my house.
Before I even took a seat on the couch, which was calling to me, my mom screamed my name, “Mom, what’s wrong?”
“What’s wrong? You’re late!”
I was confused. Late for what? Today was supposed to be a lazy day, “For what?”
“Your date with Carson, remember?”
