I stared at Kaye. Her head was upside down because I was lying on my back, my head dangling off the edge of my bed. She was reading Seventeen magazine.

“Want me to read you your horoscope?” Kaye asked.

I shrugged, “My life can’t get any worse so you might as well.”

“Dude, it’s been a week since you and Reid fought and if you ask me, it was a stupid fight.”

I shook my head, “He said he only wants to deal with me after the Unification. Right now, I’m just a burden to him.”

“He did not say that!” Jill gasped, sitting on the bed with me, doing her nails.

I nodded, “He did so!”

Kaye chided, “You should just apologize. You overreacted, Tes.”

“I overreacted? Yea right.”

“Okay, here’s your horoscope Tes. It says ‘Today could be like a roller coaster ride with crazy emotional ups and downs. Positive energy will be coming and going out of nowhere to remind you of your more important purpose. You're entering a period of emotional change now, feeling two ways at once without getting too deep into either polarity is possible.’”

“You have been a bit emotional this week.” Jill muttered.

“Na uh,” I argued.

Kaye sighed, “Can’t you and Reid just make up already?”

“It’s more complicated then that.”

“No, it’s not,” Jill kicked me in the leg.

I sat up and frowned, “Maybe I should call him….”

Kaye jumped up and tossed her cell phone at me. She jumped on my bed. I dialed Reid’s number and sighed as I pressed the phone to my ear. Kaye pressed her ear to the phone to listen in.

It ringed three times.

When I was sure no one was going to answer, someone picked up, “Hello?” It wasn’t Reid. It was a girl’s voice. Kaye pulled back. She mouthed Cassie.

What the fuck was Cassie doing with Reid’s phone? “Is Reid there?” I kept my voice even.

She laughed, “He’s just taking a nap,”

“In the middle of the day?” I questioned.

“Well, yeah, I kept him up all night.” She purred and I growled. My canines extended. Geez, I was pissed. I hung up on her. If she meant what I thought she meant, I was going to kill Reid.

“She slept with him?” Kaye gaped.

“No, he wouldn’t do that.” I whispered. You don’t know me. Reid’s words echoed in my head. He was right. For all I know, which is nothing, Reid could sleep with her but he said he would be pure till the Unification… who am I kidding? He’s a teenage boy for crying out loud.

“Shit,” Jill muttered, “That sucks,”

I groaned and plunged my head into a pillow.

“What do you want?” I snarled at Reid. His jaw tightened in frustration. His pack was behind him, all glaring at me. What did I do? It’s not like I went and slept with Bar!

“We need to train,”

“I’ll train on my own_”

He interrupted me, “I promised your parents that I’d train you. Now get dressed and come on,”
