From what I've heard, they're only extinct in the wild, and Germany is sending over some to help bring back the population, but they could be extinct completely I don't know...
Chinese paddle fish ( not exactly recent, but it was due to the rarity but they're now completely declared extinct)
Indian cheetah (there are conservation attempts to bring cheetahs from South Africa to India to bring back a population. There is one going on right now where they have just put in a few South African cheetahs.)
Sumatran Rino (these rhinos are from Malaysia, but scientists are trying to bring them back right now as we speak)
